Worst ski movie out there?

This is a rather odd thread/query in general but I sincerely hope you are joking since you included TBC and EDIAS in your post. TBC was absolutely ridiculous for its time and is still sick today and EDIAS is right up there as far as flicks that get me fired up to ski, worth it for Durtchi's seggy alone and that's just one of the highlights.

Definitely We: A Collection of individuals.

Sorry PBP, love your work, but I was bored through the movie and was relieved when it was over. Better luck next year.

really? EDIAS has gotta be one of my favorite movies of all time. Such high energy and the park seg was out of control.

I'll agree PBP has been going downhill lately, but EDIAS is still up there on my list of favorites

education of style sucked, i didnt even finsih it when i was watching it with my friends... the new poor boyz we also was garbage

Warren Miller does a really good job with their movies. They just don't have as much of the freestyle aspect. I do agree though that Poor Boyz has been declining in quality for sure.

Adding on to that, 44 Days was the best damn movie of 08.

And Ski Movie 3 is worth watching for the intro(s) alone.

WME was founded in 49 by the man himself. Just because the name has been tarnished in the past few years does not mean that WME sucks.

As I said I sincerely hoped you were joking, glad to hear it was indeed so! 4 incredibly solid flicks but I took exception to the inclusion of TBC and EDIAS, TBC is untouchable and say what you will of Poorboyz (I for one am a lifelong fan though admittedly lukewarm about WE) but EDIAS gets me crazy fired up.

That's like saying Walmart doesn't suck because it used to be a local-hiring regional retailer.

WME sucks. Its name has been tarnished beyond repair.

but saying anything and everything WME sucks is dumb beyond belief. also it's nowhere comparable to Walmart. that's a comparison that simply cannot be made. More comparable to a local coffee shop that after 30 years decides to open a few new locations around the city and maybe one in a nearby city.

Well, right. The product doesn't necessarily suck. Even Walmart sells some quality products. But Warren Miller Entertainment, as it has existed as a corporation under Bonnier in recent years, sucks.

The last WME film I saw was Impact, which I believe Warren Miller's name was still attached to, was entertaining.

agreed. an inconsistent supply of sick skiing made me look at the time left in the movie a few times. Good skiing, but not great flow and music. I'm a bitchy critic. loved grand bizarre though

thought the same thing, I rewatched it on my ipad today since I had no power. But it made me really bored and i just ended up turning it off.

I thought this year's WME effort was aaaaaverage. So you went and survival-skied down some bulletproof ice in some obscure location... who cares? Quite a bit of the skiing was pretty normal skiers skiing very normal terrain that was somehow special just because it was somewhere really weird. All the good freestyle footage was cutting-room-floor leftovers from PBP.

But definitely Motive by Splice Productions. Especially the bit where that little golem shouts SPLICE LIFE at the end of the edit that came before it.
