It had dumped 2 feet(which was very rare at my old resort) and i wake up super early to get first chair. I go out to my car, and the fucking thing wont start!!! AAAhHHHHHHgGGGGGGG!!!! How about you foolzz??

Well, on Nov. 20th, 2007, I went up to Whistler for some earlier skiing. So I go up, hike with a friend a little with my brand new hellbents, ski Peak, and get to the bottom, and had a huge coreshot in the bottom of my new skis. It went into the wood. So we keep skiing and at lunch I call my buddy at school to brag about how great my day was, even though my ski had a big coreshot, I was still skiing and he was in school. He asked me if I knew (name of friend), I said, yea, he's ma boi. He replied, well, this morning, he died. He was going to pick his mom up from work (she's a nurse), and a truck came accross the center line and totalled his car. So every day I ski now, I think of him, because we had made plans for the next weekend to go up to Baker. So everytime I get the first chair up the mountain, I think of him.

I guess you could say that that was my worst day of skiing ever.

R.I.PMy worst day was i went out and it was a great day but non of my friends were coming up to ski but i didn't mind cause conditions where great. I was skiing all day and went to the park learnt heaps of new tricks having a great day by myself. Then i saw some people i new and did a lap through the park then they said they were going into lunch and asked if i was coming but i said no cause i was having so much fun so then two runs later i come up short on a 60-ft table and break my jaw in three places i start bleeding everywhere and when some guy asks if i need ski patrol i cant talk to tell him yes so i let the blood do the talking. the 20 minutes later ski patrol arrive and tell me i might have a broken jaw (i already new by this point) and then tell me i might have a broken neck and back and knee so at this point i'm like fuck i wont be able to ski again my body is fuck my life is basically shit. Then after another 20 minutes im in the ski patrol centre and finally get some morphine. My day ended with me talking a 2 and a half hour ambulance trip to the closest hospital which was horrible because when they gave me the morphine shot in the ambulance i vomited but because my jaw was in pieces only bits of it moved it was horrible i had a bone through the bottom of my mouth and ended up having surgery and 2 metal plates 6 weeks wire shut and another 6 weeks without being able to do anything.
wow i just wrote a novelthat is my worst day i ever had

I went up one spring day with four of my buddies. It started out good, skiing corn in the back bowls of Alpine all morning. We went to lunch, where i didn't eat my bread bowl, and one of my buddies didn't finish his fries, when we went to throw them away one of my friends says that he'll take them and eat them later. He wrapped them up in a small piece of sirranwrap and put them in his jacket. We then went on a lap through the park where my buddy overrotated on a 3 ate shit and landed on his stomach, oozing the left over clam chowder out of the wrap all over his jacket. We gave him a bunch of shit then took the summit chair to the top and were going to do our own little chinese down hill. We set what lift we were going to meet at then took off. I took the lead, being that I was on the longest sticks, and everybody seemed to follow my line. I got to the lift with only one of my friends behind me. I started talking smack, basking in the glory of victory, when my next friend came up, he said that our other two friends were right behind him, when all of a sudden they dissappeared. We waited for about 5 minutes when they finally came up. My buddy Andrew says, "Dude I ate shit and cut myself." I'm thinking ice burn or something like that when I see that his pants are slashed across the front. He pulls up his pant leg and his baselayer is soaked in blood, pulls that up and has a 6 in slash across his shin gaping open about an inch wide litterally down to the bone. We skied down to the patrol hut, when they butterflied it they told us that he would have to get stiches, hopefully within the hour. The hospital in Truckee was only 10 min away so we told him that we were going to make a couple more runs, and to hold tight. The very next run I hit a rock that core shotted my ski, ripped out about 3 in of edge and put me straight on my face, complete yardsale. My friend Aron skied up to me and asked me if I was alright I tried to say yes, but I felt like I had a mouth full of snow. I spit and it turned out to be a mouth full of blood. I put two teeth through my bottom lip, Karma is a bitch. I finally gathered all of my shit and got down to the car, then the hospital. The ER was packed, it took 2 hrs for us to get in the ER. An hour later when the doctor came he began to stich Andrew's leg. The cut was deep enough that he had to do inside and outside stiches. Before he started he said, "bear with me guys, I've never done inside stiches before." He got done and called the other doctor over to inspect them, the other doctor said that they had to be redone and started pulling them out. He was pulling so hard that it was pulling the skin away from the bone, Andrew looks at me super pale and says, "I can see down my leg, get a bucket." i grabbed a trash can and he started puking in it. Him throwing up made me throw up. Both giving it up in the same bucket, and let me tell you what, STOMACH ACID ON AN OPEN WOUND STINGS LIKE HELL!!!!! We got out of the hospital 3 1/2 hrs after we got there, Andrew with 25 stiches, and me with 3, got to the car and it smelled like shitty rotten clam chowder, and we still had 3 hrs of driving ahead. My explorer smelled like shit for like a month, that smell just lingered, even after I had it detailed.

It doesn't compare to some of the other ones, I just think its a great story. Oh and bro, sorry to hear about your friend.

damn that sucks...

i think my worst was after hittin a jump iN kings crown park, i slammed my face into my leg, and spitted blood...being a trooper, i kept goin...then the next day, i got some skis, my first ones ever...Head Mojos with Rental bindings...they were demos...i tried to do my first kink, only to catch, and knock myself out, and putting a ton of chips in my new skis top sheets....along with the brakes not engaging, and me having to go further down the hill to get em...

myne is nothing compared to your guys stories. I was at Bachelor over spring break. The powder was amazing. you floated and glided through it. Me and my brother were doin some off course trecking to get some really long runs, We went through tons of trees before i hit some roots and flew into a tree well, my bro didnt notice so he kept skiing. I realized that i was covered in about 4 feet of powder. Just my head stuck out. I was so scared, cause i tried to lift myself out but the snow was too heavy. Also my skiis were no where in sight. I waited for an hour, seeing if my brother would come back to look for me. He didnt. I then had to roll deeper into the treewell to free myself. I was so exausted and shooken up, i was covered in more sweat then melted snow. It took another half an our to find both my skis +the poles before i was on my way to meet my brother who was waiting at the end of the run.

dick. yeah beeing stuck in a treewell isnt as bad as having your friend die. you should go die in a treewell.

im sorry the title of the thread is "Wors Day of Skiing Ever!!!" Sure my post may not be as good as the other two but show some respect. If you read myne again, it says, Myne is nothing compared to your guys. Also, at mt. hood, where i am from, people die every few seasons from suffocating in tree wells.

worst day i ever had skiing was with a school trip to mount tremblant. I get up, and start to put my shit on. I get a phone call from my mom, and tells me that my grand pa died that morning.

I just felt like hell, i couldn't get back. I was going to miss the funeral....everything.

That day was the first and only day i did not want to go skiing. I did because i thought it would take my mind off of things. It didn't. Every trick i did i got hurt, even regular skiing sucked. That was my worst day skiing ever.

taydawg relax.
and my first day was halloween weekend and it was so much fun everyone was killing it and the costumes were hilarious. i feel really bad you missed that day hopefully you will get on the mountain soon

one day, i forgot my boots and didnt feel like driving back to get them, so i rented a pair.

worst expirience of my life.

haven't had many terrible experiences on skis but i used to snowboard when i was like 7 and i was hauling ass down broadway face at baldy and some telemarker cut in front of me because he was coming down from easter bowl so i went on my heel edge to stop still hauling ass but caught my toe edge on a mogul and slammed down. i knocked myself out, got a concussion, was coughing up blood, cracked a few ribs, and got super fucked up. so when i came to there was ski patrol everywhere and my stomach still really hurt and i also had pain in my right shoulder. so the patrol thought i'd ruptured my spleen and there was a 70% chance i would have to get surgery, and for a 7 year old that's fucking scary. so i started bawling my eyes out and they put me in a sled behind a snowmobile. so i'm going along up a traverse but the sled somehow detaches from the snowmobile so i start sliding backwards. i didn't know about the chain in the bottom that holds you so i freaked out and bailed out of the sled, making myself feel like shit and nearly pass out again. they got me back in it and safely down the mountain and the one good part of the day is that i escaped surgery somehow, i guess my spleen healed naturallybut i had to sit in the hospital for a week not allowed to eat anything and i couldn't run or do anything for 6 months. not nearly as bad as most of these stories but it fucking sucked

uncalled for.

he was just describing his worst day ever. he wasnt saying that it was as serious as a dead friend

It was once a beautiful powder day at stratton so i went out skiing with my friend neil..... i was up late that night and got up early to catch the first lift.... i have had many serious injuries before but thos werent my worst day because i enjoyed most of those days... this day was different.... the snow was amazing but i couldnt stay up for a minute at a time i was constantly catching my edges eating snow and just falling... i was so wet and miserable but my friend was having a great time and i kept skiing... the i double ejected on a knoll face planted had to look for my skis for like an hour. this happened twice... during all this my boots were so loose and big for me that i was getting serious shin bang and toe bang... the next day i could barely ski i was so sore and my feet needed medical treatment it was soo bad.... for about 2 months i had ingrown tonails....... thats is one of my worst days i didnt enjoy one bit of it....

This thread is really depressing...id rather not hear about how bad peoples first days have been (with all due respect)...im tryin to get pumped about my first day.
