whats the worst collison you have had with someone else on a mountain or seen any bad ones?

probably my worst was when i broke my wrist when i was learning to snowboard, a little kid came out of nowhere

and when i was on a ski trip with school a snowboarder went straight through me on a powder red run and i lost both my ski poles
 
i was at the top of a trail and some bitch snowboarder hit me going like 30 mph. i felt like taking my ski off and cutting his wrists
 
At Mammoth, in the south park hitting the down rail before the jump line, theres this gaper snowboarder off to the left of me pretty far away from the rail, so I think nothing of it and hit the rail, all of the sudden while im on the rail he cuts sharp right and I pretty much land on top of him once I get off the rail. Judging that once your on a rail, you cant really slow down or anything it was not my fault at all. After we collide, he starts screaming at me in German or some other European language. Some other people riding the park come up and just tell him to chill, I dont know why but the whole thing really pissed me off. Just another good reason why people who DONT ride park should NOT be IN the park!
 
Wasnt bad, but its like one of my only so I guess its my worst. Some snowboarder was hotdoggin, and didnt know how to ride that well either and out of nowhere he collides with me, bending my ski pole. I still use the bent ski pole because Im too cheap
 
One time I was on a steep traverse at snowbird and there was a dad and his little 5 year old son on it, and I was right behind them coming up on em and then like 5 seconds later the dad comes to a screetching hault on the 1 foot wide traverse and the kid falls off the traverse and starts sliding down the hill(It was sad). But then the dad then looks at me and goes "You little FUCKER!"(Totally calling me out on it being my fault when I hadn't even touched the kid). "I'm going to fucking kill you." At this point I'm looking at him like wtf mate? And then he turns around and starts charging towards me. I then pushed him over and he started to slide down as well. But not before he is grabbing my ski and wont let go until I take my pole and wack him on the hand he was grabbing my ski with. As he was sliding down the hill, he was still yelling at me and how he was going to get ski patrol to find me...for something that was entirely his fault...
 
some aisan gaper was flying down the hill when me and my friends were standing waiting for someone on a ridge and my friend gets decked by this guy. he gets sent halfway down the hill (we were almost at the bottom so like 50 feet). the guy gets up and in slurred english says "im okayyyyy" and collects his rentals and skis away while my friend is lying crippled on the ground. i laughed
 
Haha, that reminds me of when I was on a school trip and this asian gaper who could hardly parallel turn was in the advanced group...

Well we were on a black (only way to get to bottom at that point) and he loses control and just straightlines it off the main trail... Unluckily for him there was a huge snowbank that indicated the off-piste and this kid flewwww and just kept tomahawking down the mountain and eventually stopped when he crashed in a little bush. His shit was sprayed all over the mountain.

Best thing was when the ski instructor screamed in his austrian accent "YOU CRAZY LITTLE FUCKER!!" Funny stuff...
 
One time I came off some feature backwards, and some old gayper skier was skiing right through the landing and I took him out. I got up and gave him a dirty look and skied away while he tried to get up. He lost both his skis.

I feel bad about it now, becasue I'm usually not like that, but I was pretty pissed when it happened. It wasnt something that you couldnt see someone was comming either, he was just ignorant.
 
ive had 2 pretty bad ones

1. Landed on a kid who was skiing through a landing. mashed my shoulder into the ground tearing my rotator cuff, resulting in years of further shoulder problems, dislocations, and finally got surgery this summer to fix it

2. Last winter did a 180 down a trail and an instructor comes screaming into me from uphill. He locks skis with me and im forced off the trail switch straight into a tree. Only put me out for a few days with an sore back, but it could have been a lot worse.
 
last year i skied up to a medium kicker looked down at it and there was nobody there except for a kid standing at the fence at the edge of the park below the jump. i looked away talking to my bro, then dropped in noticing the kid wasnt at the fence anymore. i did a one and at 90 degrees spotted the same kid on the landing of the jump. i landed had time to switch up and just clipped the kid knocking him over. i should have stopped to see if he was ok but i was pissed and just kept skiing to the lift.
 
it was my first run of the day in the park and i was just dropping in to this 35 footer and there were 2 snowboarders sitting on the top of the jump to the left of the lip. just as im coming in they get up and start snowboarding down the landing hill so i hit the jump thinking i wasnt going to hit them but when im in the air i see that there traversing across the landing hill. as soon as i see im going to hit one i yell SHIT! and one of them looks up and then my knee hits his back and i completely take him out. it didnt really hurt me at all but other guy was rolling on the ground holding his head so i ask if hes ok and hes obviously trying to hide his pain while he muttered, im fine. I wasnt really mad at him because he got what he deserved and he probably wont do that again. that was definitly my biggest crash with someone else
 
i think what im about to say has to happen to everyone at least once a season

when youre standing and in line(if there is one) to hit acertain rail or feature, and then some random gaper who doesnt know how to stop is sliding down on their ass going like 20 mph and then takes u out from under. idk, thats something that happens to me a lot because i ski with nyc gpers at my mtn
 
i was standing on the edge of a run and this gaper comes whiping out of the trees. the tips of his skis hit mine and he ejected and rolled down like 50 feet. he was so mad at me so he told ski patrol that it was my fault but being a racer at the time they did nothing to me and polled his pass.
 
I was playing around doing hop turns under the lift on a tiny little headwall and a snowboarder I know who's a real dumbass came cooking off the lip above me and nailed me from behind.
 
My buddy decied to film me 180'ing a drop so i go up and ask where he is because i cant see him. he says somethign that i dont here and i go, land the 180 carve left looking over my right shoulder and came within a foot of hitting him
 
i watched a gaper skiier crack his skull open a rail in the progression park at squaw last year

they had to bring a small cat to level out the area and then landed a freaking helicopter

and then they put the park back "together"

ended up stopping the park lift for an hour

 
my cousin was watching me hit a drop from below, so i dropped it and got bucked on the landing and lost full control and my skis ended up going in between my cousins legs while he was strapped into his board and it just sent us both rolling down the hill while my friend was standing higher up killing himself laughing
 
ive had a few close ones but nothing serious.

opening weekend at mammoth, im skiing down broadway which is the only run open and then as im riding a little girl who was about ten feet ahead of me to the right turns up the hill and goes straight at me. i ended up popping off my tips to try to jump over her and it was like a face first dive, but my tips caught her ski and she fell and i ate shit and i came running up to see if she was ok and the dad comes down and starts screaming at me like, "fuck you, you fucking asshole" right in front of his like 5 year old daughter

other time, i was doing a hand drag over a landing and as i came over i saw some guy sitting on the landing and i barely avoided him. a ski patroler skied up to me and told me i had to learn to ski in control and not go so fast. i told him, this is the park and i was going towards a jump until you cut me off and i decided to do a hand drag instead. he got all pissed and was trying to tell me that im not allowed to go the required speed to clear a jump. he said if he saw he do it again he would pull my pass. wtf!
 
yea i caught a snowboarder in between the legs before. i was coming across where i shouldnt have been but w/e i saw him coming so i stayed way to the side (i was still going pretty fast. i swear my left ski went between his legs but some how i didnt fall or loose my ski. thank god because he came after me lol. this kid was big too, like 6 foot 220 pounds. and im 5'10" 145
 
going to for a hip so i went on the side of the jump for speed, someone went off the jump hit me couldnt breath for 20 seconds broke my ski in half had a concusion.
 
two intersecting runs, and you couldn't see if somebody was coming at you from the other run. anyways i'm bmombing down my run and this guy is bombing down the other, trees get out of the view and we suddenly see each other, i tried to stop, slid over the front of his skis, he popped out of his bindings and flew about 20 feet of pure airtime. i hadn't fallen so i grabbed his skis and poles for him and he was really chill about it. he had a euro accent, probably russian or polish.

oh and when i was just learning i was 3 and some boarder chick plowed me over and then just rode away like she hadn't done anything while i sat in the snow and cried. a ski patroller witnessed the whole thing and went after her and booted her off the hill.
 
I just got off the chairlift and was waiting for a buddy to get off and I wasn't watching at all and this big 6'3 fat black snowboarder came out of nowhere,couldn't stop and just took me the fuck out. And at the time I was only like 5'5 so that was NOT fun. He said sorry a bunch of times, but sorry doesn't fix my completely bent pole!!
 
i just remembered 3 more from this season.

I was dropping into a jump switch and some snowboarder chick cuts in front of me and then starts to carve in front of me, so we go off oposite sides of the jump at the same time, but she is going slower, so then she lands on the knuckle and bounces so shes right underneath me and i landed one ski right on top of her head. I stop check if shes ok and then booked cause her angry boyfriend was shitting bricks and screaming at me.

This one isnt really a collision, but it was funny as hell, i was going down a run and i turned off to hit some hip on the side and fully cut off some gaper and i look back as i hear him yelling and he just gets fully clotheslined by a tree branch.

So i am skiing up to a down rail at the top of the park and i see some little kid skiing in from the side and im thinking theres no way hes stupid enough to keep going. So I keep skiing hop onto the down rail and he stops right at the end inches from the end of the rail, so i come off the end and completely plow him over right in front of his dad.

 
I was going to hit a little hip on the side of a cat track and I accidentally cut off this gaper lady. She was wearing a cowboy hat and she screamed and didn't even try to stop or turn when I cut her off, and she ran over the tails of my skis. I cut her off but everything could have been avoided if she turned a tiny bit. Anyhow, she wasn't going very fast and falls down and my friend comes over to see what she's doing. She appears to be unconcious even though she didn't even fall hard, my first thought was "Oh shit, I killed her!" so I run around the corner to get the ski patrol and come back and she's standing up and walking around. Apparently the bitch pretended to be dead and as soon as I left she got up. The ski patrol was pretty chill and wrote down my ticket number and told me not to do it again. The moral of this story is, don't come back to the scene of the crime.
 
AHAHA my worst one was at mammoth too! It had just snowed like a foot in one day, so I was skiing the powder switch and I hit this little roller thing, couldnt really see over it and smoked this asian girl.. Completely my fault. felt terrible, but she actually apologized to me... she sorta shouldnt have been standing there i guess but I still felt really badly.
 
numerous people have cut me off and such but ive never really had a real bad collision.

this past season i got real close to this guy cause he cut right infront of me, i hit an ice patch n couldnt move, and maybe, just slightly, brushed edges with him, and he just bugged out and i skied away as if nothing happened

another time we were going from one side of the mtn to another, prolly like 15 of us, and all of a sudden a few people spray a ton of snow in the air and my brother went right thru it not being able to see and just takes this one girl out. all of us just stopped dieing in laughter but she was not happy.

2 seasons ago a friend did a 3 and hit a little girl right before he landed and completely took her out
 
oh and this past season after the mt snow comp we were hitting the jumps and i was doin a follow cam n this one girl was standing on the knuckle of the jump and the kid i was fliming did a 3 and kinda threw his skis to the side at the end to just miss her head. she said he was her hero
 
ski instructor decides that he needs to bring his little kids learning how to ski into the park and i pretty much just ran right over one
 
When my family goes to steamboat i have near misses with people cuz you have to do the ski in to the condo thing thats pretty much uphill. So you haul ass down this little green trail but theres always noobs doing gigantic turns across the whole trail. no matter how loud you yell "ON YOUR RIGHT" they never look out. and one time me and my brother crashed into each other doing doubles lol he landed backseat on a landing and hooked left into me. noone got hurt we were just laying there laughing so fucking hard
 
i aired off a roller once and i found myself about to land directly on top of a gaper snowboarder so i threw myself to the side and fucked up my shoulder on the landing
 
i was going really really fast and popped off a roller and in like slow motion saw some girl snowboarder sitting in the landing so i just screamed fuck in mid air and she stood up and i turned like 90 degress and hit the snow and was like chutta chutta chuk and smashed into her and she flew like 10 feet and landed down in some powder she got a little drop too

its hard to explain but it was so epic with the sound effects and this massive snow cloud and it was directly under the lift

we were both fine
 
I laughed at the austrian accent thing...

My lil bro did a 180 over the lift rope thing tried to stop and ran into a fat lady going backwards....I laughed
 
my worst collision was hitting this 10 year old girl going switch. she got fucking owned and i felt bad because it was pretty much my fault since i sucked at going switch at the time. another one was when some noob jumped out of the forest and clipped my ski and exploded. it was pretty funny
 
two kids i ride with are bombing a groomer, side by side, the one on the right is a snow boarder, and the one on the left is a skier. kid on the snowboard doesnt realize the skier is like a foot behind him directly to the left, and cuts hard on his heels. skier's ski's go right in between his legs and the both proceed to fucked hard. hahahaha
 
ok heres 2.

the first i only witnessed. i was in jackson two years ago skiing on a traverse right before the casper area, where there is a cat track that you can ski up the side and jump it like a hip. this one guy comes booking down the trail to hit the jump, and right when he gets there, this kid cut infront of him to hit the jump. this guy would have basically killed the kid (who was about 4) bu he just spread his legs, picked the kid up at the lip, and landed with him unharmed, and skied away.

my personal worst was at the canyons that same season. i was on doc's run, i think, which is a real icy run out to the base area, and at the end of the day, its completely packed. so im going down it with a few friends, whern we see this gaper woman skiing way too fast and completely out of control. were all laughing about it and then she fell, but her edges were still engaged. she comes from the other side of the trail, and i knew she was going to hit me, so i try to pop off a little bump to get over her, but she catches me right below the knee. i do a lincoln loop, lnad on my side really hard, and see her fly off the side of the cat track in a complete yard sale.
 
one time my friend (schilling) was haulin ass switch down this hill at alyeska, he was cruisin and kinda showin off at how fast he could go but as he neared the bottom he got clothes lined by the lift line goin switch, he face jsut blasted into the ground,  it was deffinatly one of the funniest things iv ever seen
 
one time, my friend was trying to jump over the orange park entrance fence because somebody had built a little kicker in front of it. instead of clearing it, his tips went under the upper part of the fence causing him to do a frontflip (which he didn't land). i also once took out a little asian snowboarder going too fast switch and i couldn't see him. oh and the best one was there was this flat down rail, and i did a switchup on the kink and landed switch into the steep landing. when i was trying to ride away i was out of controll and went uber fast into the woods slammed right into a wooden fence and my head was like an inch from this post, i'm very glad i didn't hit that full-on.
 
one time me and my friend found a log that had fallen over the rode and it was about 5 feet high, well we dicided to build a jump over it and, so my friend did it then i did and some how i didnt get enough speed and i under shot it and one foot whent over the log and the other went under, the skis exploded off and i flew over the log on to the ground 5 feet. it was the wirst shin bang of my life.
