Worst Bootfitter, EVER.

it is. the simpler way to do it is that (if you are in the 20-somethings) you can add up the two digits to equal your shoe size. for example, 2+8 = 10. a 28.5 mondo is a 10.5 US shell.

However, I wear 10 shoes, and I am skiing in an 8.5 shell.

i dropped a whole size from last year when i got new boots, needless to say i wasnt fitted correctly when i got my old boots

Are you an 80 year old chinese woman? and do your feet look like this?

would you not be a little angry because there are people who are boot fitting who shouldn't be? spreading the word homes. Don't know what you are doing, don't bootfit

nice double post and you must be retarded because nebula knows what hes talking about, hes in the proper size

im a 9 sneaker, an 8.5 dress shoe and an 7.5 for ski boots. EVERYONE knows you go down a size or two in ski boots and get only half sizes..

and the way the conversion works is. a 29 = 11.. you add the two numbers together to get a US shoe size.

lets see if you are payin attention..

a 26.5 = what size US?

^ but that system only works for men, and only up to size 29.0. Its much better to know yor mondo size rather then your shoe size. If you do not know your mondo size go get your feet measured.

he is right, you are wrong, bsl isn't a consistent number higher than internal size, that's why 28.5 and 28 boots have the same bsl, and a .5cm smaller length on the inside. different companies have different boot designs, some have the front of the toe slant back under the toe, so the bsl for the same size of a different company would be larger. the liners are also very different.

I tried going down 2 sizes two years ago. It works for many people no doubt, but It doesn't work for me at all. It was great when I flexed forward, but after just one backseat landing my toes were purple. And don't give me shit about landing backseat; shit happens to the best of us, and you can't deny it.

^ I think your confused. A 28.0 shell and 28.5 shell will be exactly the same, and in all but salomon boots the liner will be the same. Salomon cut the liner in a .5 boot slightly wider but every other brand just use differnt width insoles, so when you put a custom footbed in the boot, the 28.0 and 28.5 are exactly the same.

lets all agree that none of us understand ski boots, and that anything surrounding them is in all likelihood magic.

first off what does this mean "bsl isn't a consistent number higher than internal size" ?WTF anyways I know the liner of a 28 and 28.5 is different, yet the mold is the same, didn't i mention I fit boots everyday? as far as bsl goes its a universal measurement for Boot sole Length between brands. So please stop talking, unless you know more then me, which you don't

whats your point? you wear loose fitting shoes/sneakers and found out you needed a smaller size boot in comparison to your sneaker for support? Cool...

^ as I said above the liner in a 28.0 and 28.5 is infact the same in just about every brand but salomon. Its only the insol which changes. Just wanted to clear that up.

im a size twleve foot, i have il moros in a 28.5, and the feel sick as fuck. my bootfitter told me that with linears like the intuition you usually go down a size or so because your foot fits more snugly in the liner so it needs a smaller shell. i dont think you should instantly badmouth the boot-fitter, it sounds like he was right. also when intuitions are pre heat-mold they feel really tight. if you really don't think the guy wasn't knowledgeable then go to another shop and get a second opinion.

really tight though to the point where the boot would not buckle? just doesn't seem right.buckles were the loosest they could be.

1. no

2. they both fit me correctly

3. i was just stating a fact

4. you in a bad mood and just feeling like you need to take it out on here?

Hey asshole. You are the type of customer every bootfitter hates. You think you know everything but really you're clueless.

don't take it personally. you're bound to get hated on by at least a couple people every time you post on NS. To all of NS:

Next time you preview your post, delete the hate. it gets old after a while.

kinda weird, im a size like 10.5 and i actually went up a size to 29 (11) with my ft drop kicks. and my toe can still hit the top. maybe vans have weird sizing

What shop/location did you go too? I hope to dear god this wasn't TandL bank (I'm starting to work there, lol).

SPK's are probably thee single most fucked boot I have ever tried on my foot. I tried on them spk kid pros, and there was an INSANE pressure point across the top of my foot, felt like someone was trying to nailgun my foot to the floor. If you are forced to deal with a shitty bootfitter though, do alot of reasearch, and make your own educated decission. Try a few different sizes on too. I was worried when I bought my new voodoos, because the shop was mounting up my bindings, and i was maybe thinking they were to big over the next few days. I never tried on a smaller size and was shitting my pants. Luckily i went back to the shop and tried on 1 size smaller, and it fit like horseshit, so i knew i had made the right choice.

He'd flip shit, haha. Kanata and every other store suck, come to bank ask for mathieu, he's the manager and he know's his shit.

Make sure boot fits super shitty then buy it cause it will fit later? Lol or in my case buy a foot that doesn't buckle and ski that was until the liners break in?

Full tilts pack out around a half size during molding alone, then a bit more once you ski em, the liners are huge marshmellows.

i wear a 12 shoes and ride in a 28 FT high five with the 102 last. fits like a glove (wide foot). i could get off in those intuition liners

Cust: "I've got a long narrow foot and I want Full Tilts"Fitter: "Actually although you may think it narrow, you're foot is quite wide compared to general population, you might want to try another boot"

Cust: "My buddy has Full Tilts and he thinks they're awesome"

Fitter: "See above"

Cust: " I want Full Tilts"

continue....
