I just read the press release for this years Red Bull Big Air competition...

The first big jump has a plateau measuring 28 meters between the kicker and the landing. Riders will average around 70 km/h on the in-run. During the air they will reach a height of about 5 meters. The length of the air will measure over 35 meters - that's approximately 3 city buses, or a 10 story house, if you like.

Is this the biggest 'competition' jump in the world?

Yes, it's really big!

But I think the riders: Jon Olsson, Simon Dumont, Shoya Okazaki, Peter Olenick, Hampus Mosesson, Aleksi Vanninen, Simon Ax etc could handle it...

But the guys that grabbed the qualifier slots should be really scared ;-)

Steve is right...the jump will be so sweet because people will be doing stuff off of it.

In Frontline, Candide Thovex was pulling some serious hangtime but he was either doing straight airs or maybe a grab or two. Actually, there were several attempts by him in that movie that made him look outta control.

Can't wait to see some footage of people going off this jump...gonna be huge :)

First of all, sorry I did misread, its 92 feet not 115, however, I didn't talk shit about how small it was, and I did correct admit my mistake.
