World Trade Center

its sad the things people will do for money these days.....think of how all the people who have had family members die in that tragic acident are going to feel.

i think it will be a very powerful movie for some people...specially people who were in some way related to this significant incident in our history...

fuck the afgahnis

While Hollywood will make a profit, its also a tribute to the people that were involved that day. Same thing as Pearl Harbor, Saving Private Ryan.

except those movies were made WAY WAY after the fact, not 5 years later. it is disgusting that a bunch of people in hollywood are going to make money off of 9/11 so soon after it happened.

i think its looks kinda cool. i had an uncle die in the attacks and i think its a pretty cool tribute to everyone who died.

HAHAHAHAHAYHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HA HA AH....HA AHHAHA... oh god oh god you cant be serious hahahh

two pearl harbor movies (Secret Agent of Japan, and December 7, 1941) were released within two years of the Pearl Harbor attacks. Eighteen WWII movies were made within five years of WWII ending. Several (including December 7, 1941) won academy awards for "paying tribute to those lost." It's all on IMDB.com.

Five yers is a long enough time. It's a quarter of most of our lives. A tribute is acceptable at this point.

yeah ive saw it a couple days ago. pretty powerful, but it was kinda boring. the guy beside me was sleeping. it was kind of a depressing movie, but it was a good tribute to all those lost

i nearly lost all my faith in humanity when i saw that sap on apple trailers a few months ago

well i guess it's not gonna be like United 93 where they donated however much to the charity? i really think that would be the right thing to do. living minutes from the city and knowing people who have died in the attacks, i can tell it's going to an emotional movie no matter how well it's done.

I think it's bullshit that it's coming out now. there's literally no point in making a movie about it. It's not like we're the "next generation" and have forgotten and need to be reminded of it. A movie like this shouldn't be coming out for another 20 years at least. I still see people wearing shirts saying how they will never forget and I live in California. Capitalist bullshit is what it is.

maybe it isn't all about hollywood capitalizing on a tragedy...but more of a TRIBUTE to those who died. the movie will probably give us a deeper sense of what happened that morning, and we'll have more respect for those lost.

i think the movie looks good and will do a great job in paying tribute to those lost in the tragety...i just think they should have chosen someone other than nicolas cage to play the lead roll

Seriously dude SHUT THE FUCK UP...YOU ARE A FUCKING DUMBASS!!!! They are donating almost all the money to 9-11 charities. And its a great story that needs to be told. So go fuck yourself you fucking BITCH!!!

my god another one!! How many times do I have to say this shit to people on here. GET YOU FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE OPENING YOU FUCKING MOUTH!!! They are donating almost all the money to 9-11 charities. You fucking kids are so stupid. Even if they did make money off of it whats wrong with that, its a fucking movie. Its not like they are stealing money from the people that died...its not like they are making fun of these people. Its a story about courage and the ability to get through things!!!GO FUCK YOURSELF!!

yea seriously....im not gonna watch it nor do i think itll be very good, but thats good what they are doing it for and stuff.

hey 13 year old asshat, noone knew that and nothing says anyyything about it whats so ever.

UNTIL nomenstevens posted some very good information about 2 comments before your retarded spazz attack comments.

I think it looks incredible i definately wanna see it. And even if they were making money off it, which I'm sure they are in some way, you'd make a movie about it too if you were getting millions for it don't lie. And it's also a service to everyone else who wants to learn more about 9-11. stop hating shit just for the sake of it and cuz you think you're better than everyone else.

well I made my post way before nomenstevens provided information about the money being donated to charities.

so I was not aware. no need to go and make some essay full of insult.

and I had not read any other thread about 9/11 lately due to the fact that it happend like 5-6 years ago and im over it.

I think it's b/s someone has to capitalize on 9/11 by making a movie. The movie isnt going to have any "truth" about 9/11. If people know, they will know what "truth" I'm talking about.

Thats all.

yeah, but war movies usually are wars that happened a longg time ago, so people arnt really affected like the would be in the case of 9/11

I didnt read anyone elses past the fifth response, but purely on a cinematic basis, that movie looks like poop. I seriously doubt I'll ever want to see it.

this is gunna be a bigger disater then the longest day u cant just put big named actors in2 a Movie like this u have to put rreally good unknown actors in it so no one relates it to anything else

Eh, give it a chance man. Maybe Hollywood is doing something for the greater good here...like Bran-Angelina, haha.

really? cinematically it looks pretty nice to me. There were some amazing shots in the trailer. It looks raw and realistic.

i'm not sure what sets film apart from other art forms, but nobody complained about other art pices regarding 9/11 that were created long before this movie. The film industry is under too much scrutiny. I'm excited for this movie. It looks beautiful.

whatever, im not starting on this shit again, last thread i made was just three pages of name calling and not listening to anyone else, whatever none of us know what we are talking about anyway. they might give some to charity.

well besides the fact that he sucks, I think it takes away from the reality of it and makes it more of just a movie. A big part of what made United 93 so effective is that nobody knew any of the actors so you didnt feel that you were watching a vehicle for some actor but, rather, actual people.

ya, when they hire a big name actor it usually means they are trying to promote it and make the most money possible. but thats not bad if it goes to charity.

you know hollywood was drooling for a chance to do a movie on this, they just needed to wait long enough, i think its retarded, its just to make some money

I guess but I think they should be able to make it a good powerful movie without big stars and still make money...its not necessarily one or the other

in war movies and pearl harbour soldiers died, not innocent civilians, not to say a solidiers death is any better, but it is somewhat of a risk you take in joining the military.
