They're building a kick ass Quarter in Hemsedal in Norway, to try and beat the highest air world record in a halv pipe.. it's going down saturday 3. April, and a few rad skiers are invited...

Stopped by last sunday to check it out... It's pretty damn big...

yea^ and i dont no if jon has the record but i do no that that was the worlds highest flat spin tail grab, and in HD interviews jon talks about y he did the massive hit and it was because he didnt think it was right that snowboarders were goin higher than skiers a year before in norway. and since this is in norway is their boarders involved too or just skiers

^ accually it was a flat spin. and the accual hight for it was 10meters. i dont know what that transfers into feet but im sure one of you can figure it out

yeah actually correction on that. thats 60' above ground so above the top of the deck would be about... 10m. so i dunno where they measured jons from but theyre about the same. unless someone can find something about that terje air. i think its myth but ive heard a few boarder friends talk about it back in the day

Heikki Sorsa went 29 ft, it was at the arctic challenge a while back, it was in Stand and Deliver (MDP) and Transcendence. Oakley was going to give a $24000 gold watch to anyone who broke the 30 ft barrier, Heikki went 29 so they gave him a trip to Hawaii instead, even though pretty much everyone thought they should have just gave him the watch.

i'm pretty sure terje's holding the title at the moment... he's broken the 10m (30.38 feet) at least... thrown down around a 37-38, i think... he's pretty sick... my predictions are for little getto-pimp Simon Dumonte stealing the title... he's a pretty awesome rider, with a nice laid back style.. it doesn't look like he's trying too hard when he thrown down in the park.. :)
