World pop is now 6.5 billion

Haha, we just covered this is bio 180 today. Its all about relative birth rates. the average human female right now will give birth to 2.6 offspring. We need that number to go down to at least 2.1 so our population will level off. One kid can be enough!
 
AIDS? about 2% of humans are actually immune to the HIV virus. so that could do the trick. Also Ebloa could easily take out a huge chunk of people. if somebody got into an airport with ebola the death rate would be fucking massive.
 
World population is set to stabilize by the year 2050 assuming the current trend continues. This is because as countries develop economically and socially people have less children because of a whole host of different factors, including availability of birth control. Although this development is tied somewhat into the spread of democracy, all signs are this trend will continue as both wealth and democracy spread. The rate of world population growth is slowing rapidly as we speak, overpopulation is not a real problem. End of story.
 
Will the baby boumers are going to die in the next 10 to 20 years, reducing the population. We must remember that epidemics and stuff will ravage the world if it gets too populated.
 
i didn't think of that. damn. all of those mexicans need welfare money so they keep reproducing. man mexican women must be loose.
 
just to clear up my post a little bit. I'm not as much of an asshole as I may sound. If the natural disaster that I'm talking about hapens to take me out too, that sucks, but oh well. there are TOO many people on this earth.
 
yeah, i was under the impression that italy was only populated by kindly old women who speak broken english and make good pasta. looks like i was right cause theyve all started dying and now the population is decreasing.
 
yeh man all teh foreigners are populating like mad...becasue people cannot afford to have birth control, they still have sex...and BAM...have kids...shit happens
