Working Out

What are some of the better programs everyone uses to workout? If you can just say what exercises you do, how many sets or just what you do in a typical week.

Summer's here and there is no better time to get ready for next season than now.

start with a good warm-up...like jogging for 5 minutes.....then i do push-ups and sit ups....(doesnt matter how many just to lossent your body up...) then stretch your whole body from head to toe. i use the dumb-bell weights alot and other machines but usually just go and check the place u r going to work out at first and then begin using the machines but at low weight/resistance....then when u get more comfortable, crank the weight up: not to much or you will strain your body and will hurt.....

MAKE SURE YOU DO A REALLY GOOD STRECH AFTERWARDS OF YOUR WHOLE BODY OR ELSE U WILL HURT BUG TIME THE NEXT DAY!!!!

um i just work out. nothing to do. i do what i feel like doing, when i want to .

how about a jib for the mentally unstable aswell. maybe a picture of a kid with down syndrome on a box - anathema

Yeah I'm working out for skiing. I figure I need to work out my legs and core. Exactly how i go about doing that...is another story.

i run 4 days a week 2-3 miles a day and i lift weights at my school

Enom Headwear.. If your gonna ride twins, cover your head

for legs do squats, lunges, leg press machines and whatever else you feel like.

i also don't eat fast food or candy and if i eat chocalate it's in my protein bars with no sugar or chocolate protein shake

Enom Headwear.. If your gonna ride twins, cover your head

might seem sorta girly...but excercise balls work really well for the core of your body. there like 11 bucks at a wal mart, and if you look it up on google or soemthin they can polly tell you some good excercises since i cant explain them well enough. try it

^pretty much the same, except im too dam lazy to run 2-3 miles. i just sprint a mile as fast as i can and im done for the week haha. but i play soccer and lacrosse and i bike so i stay in shape

alright well i dont really stop lifting all year but here is my work out

first stage - high reps low weight for three weeks

lifts - squat 3 sets of 12

powerclean 3 sets of 5

bench 3 sets of 12

then a bunch of tricept machines and such dont do much though

second stage - med reps med weight 3 weeks

squat 3 sets of 8 then 2 sets of 5

powerclean 3 sets of 5

bench 3 sets of 8 2 of 5

last stage three weeks high weight low reps

squat 2 sets of 5 3 sets of 3

powerclean 3 sets of 5 one set of 3

bench 2 sets of 5 3 sets of 3.

then i test on my maxs and start over

I run like 1.5 miles in 15 minues on a treadmill. I like spreading it out over 15 minutes because it works my endurance and just gets me more fit. Maybe it doesn't but I just like to stretch it out rather than do it in 6 mintues.

And that's all she wrote.

ya they def do. we use them for field hockey workouts

how about a jib for the mentally unstable aswell. maybe a picture of a kid with down syndrome on a box - anathema

umm crazy shit i discovered get a log like 30 pounds ok and do curls with it like 20 or so and then do shoulder press then squats do like 30 of each of those or more like 4 sets...... or do like 2 body parts a day like 12 reps and 4 sets

i go to the gym like its my job...i have a trainer once a week and we do everything from weight training to cardio stuff and what not...and then i go on my own as much as possible and i like to do the eliptical for at least 30 minutes and then jump rope for a little bit and then do some ab stuff. everyone should go to the gym...its good for you.

its hard to help u out when nobody know the equipment u use... i run everyday and then vault.. in the summer and fall i run 5-10 miles a day and spring n winter i vault more so i run like 3-6 a day and weight room

get to geather with a trainer a couple of times to work out a rutine. then just do that routine by your self. every once in a wile just have a check up sesion with your trainer.

(spelling whats that?)

if you're new or don't know what you're doing, buy arnold's encyclopedia of bodybuilding.

it gives you good basic information, and pictures and descriptions of the proper way to do pretty much every type of lift out there.

You can follow the routines if you want, but you've gotta take some of them with a grain of salt, since arnold is obviously abnormally more responsive to training, and used to take steroids.

But if you follow is beginner's routine (which is pretty much what he recommends for the first like 3 years of lifting), and just do the sets/reps to your own max, you'll get pretty strong.

i do a modified version of the bigger faster stronger program targeting soccer needs..look it up

do a lot of balance excercizes- these will help your spins, sense of place in the air, and recovery in landings. one thing to do is stand on one leg and close your eyes and basically try and squat very slowly with your eyes closed. this works both legs really well and balance.

also, try standing on soccer/basketball for as long as you can and also squat on those- you get the idea. balance is key to any sport especially skiing.

bottom line is drink at least 80oz. of water a day and run at least 2 miles 3 times a week and do 15 mins of lifting 3 times a week, you can also do a little extra with leg presses and shit for those big calves for big 1440s

My girlfriend wants to experiment with 'doggy style' because regular stance is becoming boring. The only problem is that she's really small and I think I'm too big to really give it to her. I'm 25 and she's 11 years old. What should I do?? - some newb

Check it out an awesome excercise for skiers to do is squats, but put your feet like 6 inches apart instead of shoulder width. Oh yeah do it on a smith machine so you don't fall over and put your feet in front of you so when you squat it looks like your sitting in a chair
