hey, i have been working out for a little bit more than 1 year now and have been looking for something such as creatine or anything that enhances mucel growth, but thats not steriods, anyone out there know what works the best? has anyone out there tryed NO2? or anything like that?please let me know........thanks

 
ive also heard about sterobol you can get it at the gnc store anyone here know aboyut that stuff? ive heard that NO2 can make you fat if you dont take it right.

 
if you've been working out for a year you know now that you dont need to use roids. if you actually do need to still, its probably because you arent working hard enough... how old areyou

 
I went to the exact phase as you are going through couple years ago, I wanted to get bigger and thought it would be cool thing to do. But now that I got older I'm so glad I did not use any of that shit, its fake anyways and after you stop using it the definition stays but the size of the muscles shrinks back to normal. Keep on doing whatever you are doing and sooner or later you will reach your goal. Read some studies regarding creatine, but make sure that you read both CON's and PRO's of using it and don't just base your opinion just because someone told you that's its harmless.

hes right, i really wouldnt take it man, lifting and stuff does well, just eat well and work hard, you'll get big muscles

 
creatine creates water retention which eliminates muscle definition... no2 doesn't work.... it's liek a $100 bottle of garbage. I recommend increasing your protien intake... Ive been taking GNC Mega Whey for like 3 months and its def working

the other kid is right though, if you have been workin out for a yr and havent seen satisfying outcomes you're doing something wrong or are a freakin prepubescent 14 yr old

 
i mean since i have started workin out a lil over a yaer ago i have gained about 20 pounds mucel an lost 10 pounds fat and now weigh at 140 but im not as big as i wish i was......in other words if you saw me i wouldnt look big to you and i wouldnt look like i worked out...unlike most of my friends, but the truth is that i am stronger that almost all of my friends but you cant see it...thast why i want to try to use anything that can fill me out or make me cut...if that makes sense.......

 
oh yeah i fergot to mention im 18 and i have seen some good changes since i started working out,jus not as much as i wish...thats why im intrested in some of this stuff....

 
hmm see for me right away i got cut and started bulking up, it was natural. i'm 15 and like 5'7 150. i donno why you'd want to be super huge, being small and really strong is so great, i really like it because everyone underestimates you, gives you the "surprise effect" when you're on the line playing football or in a fight

creatine does not have estrogen in it you morons, We learned about creatine in pharmacology class, the only negative side effects that are proven are increased injuries in joints.

believe me man, just intensify your workout, i mean i guess if all you're lifting for is for the beach then change your workout every 3 weeks, first 3 weeks of strength and power, next 3 weeks of endurence, really gives good results. if you want to be strong to kick ass and take names then deffinately go with alot of power, and just work alot... what are you doing right now?

 
im 18 i work out hard as hell at skool and at home and im never gonna use steroids that why im interested in thsi other stuff that you can get at the GNC store, and i have never used steriods and never will, all i wanna know is if that other stuff such as weight gainer an creatiner an NO2 an stuff works good enough to notice a diffrence or if its a waste of money.............

 
well i donno, i havent heard many good things about them really, i guess its like if you did like protien shakes. i feel much better knowing that all my improvement is from me, but hey, to every man his own style i guess

 
i probly work-out for about 2-3 hours everyday of the week except saturday an sunday to allow my mucels some rest, and im not just doing this for the beach...im doing this for my own good so i feel better about myself in public...if you understand that.

 
that liver problems... plus no one really knows what the long term affects of createn is... dont take the shit, it dyhydrates the out of u and if your not on a perfect schedual youll feel like shit all the time. look up a work out called the big fun and do that shit, youll probly quit the for 5 times but once u finaly get it youll be fucken huge. in half a samester ive gone for 200 pounds on bench to now workin towrds 240 and from 210 on Power clean to around 250.

 
that sounds almost like suicide man, i hope you shift on and off like upper body lower body. i met a kid that was doing bench every day, and did 160 for his max, could never get up more. so he started lifting only 3 days a week for bench and all of a sudden in 3 weeks time his bench jumped from 160-225.

anyways i totally understand what you're feelin man, its a good feeling

 
yea and if u get nethign just get some whey protein.. it will help u gain mucsle mass, but dont stay on it for long just like use it everyday for a week and then stop for 3... if u set like 10 5 3 and single rep records and try to break them like once a week then thats a great workout stragy

my work out:

monday- chest, tricepts, abs(hard)

tuesday- shoulders, traps, abs(light)

wensday- back, bicepts, abs(hard)

thursday- chest, legs, abs(light)

friday-shoulders, traps, bicepts, abs(hard)

saturday- day off

sunday- day off

note-i dont do my legs but once a week because i have torn my ACL 3 times now skiing and i dont want to blow them out while im working out...anyways im satisfided with my legs, but thast my work out that i do every week.......

 
lol dude thats horrible, way to compelex and 2 many lifts... just do this

Moday- mainly bench, then light: incline dumbell, flys, and then something like wave squats and legs lifts.

tuesday- (platform room) power clean, power pulls, high pulls, overhead sqauts, and front squats

wensday- (aux lift) streching, abs, pushups, sprints jogging etc...

thursday- mainly squat... as much as u can and light arms

friday- repeat tuesday

saterday sunday... days off- maybe some light weights if u have nothign 2 do

 
i did research on creatine for health and it works while your taking it but after you stop taking it the muscle detiriorates and your skin gets all flabby like atlantaskis mom's

I was around 125 3 weeks ago and I work out every second day and I gained 5 pounds in the last 3 weeks.

Try also eating in a routine, like eggs right after your workout or something. Have you met with a personal trainer to show you what to do?

set reps and percentages shoudl go soemthign like this...

week one- max to find 100%

week two-

1X10 30%

1x6 40%

2x2 65%, 75%

3x5 80%

week 3-

1X10 35%

1x6 45%

2x2 70%, 75%

3x4 85%

just keep all the same set from there on out about the same but then work your way down to 3x1 100+% on the last set. good luck man

 
okay heres what helped me-

DIPS, work especially in your sticking point for your bench press, helps bigger triceps, and since triceps are bigger than your biceps, it helps

FLYs, these really help your shoulders and chest and help to add size

OVERHEAD PRESS - helps shoulders and traps, also ads to that crazy muscle on your side, makes you look generally more muscular

SHRUGS - traps and shoulders

BENCH - obviously, chest shoulders triceps, all that

PREACHER CURLS - use a preacher curl bar bench thing, take it all the way down so you almost lock your elbows at the bottom, and then take it up, dont worry about weight, worry about form, adds soo much to your biceps.

i have found that these are really effective, also do stuff like pull downs and lots of pull ups, really help

 
Seriously if you've only been working out for a year you don't need that stuff. Make sure you get plenty of protein, protein shakes are a better source of protein than any food you can eat. Take a multi vitamin too. Other than that just work your ass off, make sure you have plenty of recovery time, and switch it up when your work out gets stagnant.

also for dips, since i'm a lightweight too (150lbs) i have to add big ol chains or weights to it, add as much as you can, it helps more, because dips are probably easy for you too now.

 
dude, dont take creatine, it washes out of your system, and makes you dehydrated. you will get stronger....only when you take it. once you stop you get weaker. take whey protein (designer whey protein is good) just take it after every workout so you minimize on the fat intake when you take the stuff. this is what i do, and i have gained 20 lbs in 6 weeks this way. i am a college wrestler (heavyweight) who is trying to gain weight, so i'm working out a lot. make sure you dont slack off taking protein, it will make you get fat instead of muscular.

 
what's this hard and light shit? if you have a skinnier frame you want to do low reps with heavy weight. do like two exercises for each muscle, 3 sets of one lift and 2 for the other, and only do 6-8 reps, but make sure it's heavy enought that you can't do anymore weight than that. work only 2 or 3 muscles each day. keep doing legs once a week, working the lower body helps with the upper. give each muscle a three day rest until you work it again. if you just want to gain weight just lift, don't do any running or anything. and take whey protein, it's a very worthwhile investment and there are no negatives to it. it gives you exactly what you're body needs. get at least one gram of protein per pound you weigh every day. diet is the most important part of changing your body.

creatine might be worth looking into. from what i've read there isn't anything wrong with short term use, but using it for long periods of time they aren't sure. i personally stay away from it, but research it and make your own decision. if you eat right you won't really need it.

 
not only do you need protine you need complex carbs along with the protine to build muscel i recoment taking vitamins. I usualy go with a centrum multi, alot of c, a calsium magnisum and zinc, and vitamin E. i dont take these spesificly for lifting but it probly hellped considering im benching like 325 now i have never taken anything to help me do this ill just eat the right kinda foods after a workout. also as mentiond above dont overlift give muscels a day off. If your liftin for size and bulk witch it sounds like your doing because you want to put some weight on lift hevayer weights with less reps, or if you want definition use lighter weight with more reps.

what happined to drugs, sex, & rock and roll...now adays we have aids crack and techno.......

I'm a personal trainer, with a degree in exercise science. I can give you some tips, and i can tell you , that you don't need steriods, unless you are trying to be a pro bodybuilder/athelete, or have really poor genetics. Diet, is key, 70% of fitness is diet, you can't get bigger if you don't eat clean and good, and you won't have abs if you are over 7% body fat. Creatine is good for muscle growth, but really not need to obtain good results. let me know what you are going for and i can help you out. ie. ( strength, size, sports performance, beach body...) i can give you simple programs/diets

Dont use crateen or however u spell it. It starts to make boobs and your heart beat quicker at resting rates. Stay clean and be all natrual. Dont do the juice.

alright, i'm looking for a good workout plan.. i basically want to lose lbs and define my muscles.. so what i gathered is.. less weight and more reps.. i'm really in the dark about weight lifting.. anyone recommend anything... upper body only.. i have muscular legs since i run soo much :[

don't concentrate on only upper body, you'll look gay. no offense to gay people. and the key to getting good looking muscles is , gettina all your muscles in good shape, and balance, because they all are connected and make each other stand out. and light weigh high rep is a good theory, but it's not an excuse to be a pussy. high reps means at least 15, and you should barely be able to get the last rep up on each set. and do at leas 3 sets. Here are some basics if you are only going for cosmetic effects, like you said, i just want my upper body bigger.

arms. the key to good arms, is tricep tricep tricep. it's 2/3 of your arm. french press(hammer skull crushers), tricep pull down, tricep push ups, close grip bench all in the same workout.

biceps, every bi work out, include hammer dumbell curls, where you are holding the weight like a hammer thumbs up., 21's with barbell (look em up, easy) switch your grips up, hard to go wrong with biceps, just do lots of sets and get the blood in there.

Chest= flys, dumbell press, dumbell incline press. (use dumbells over bar bench to make your chest even , plus more range of motion.) push ups, dips.

Back- most important muscle in the body, and most underdeveloped in most people. Pull ups, seated rows, tbar rows, and pull downs.

Why should you work your lower body?? they are the biggest muscles, if you get those inshape (weight strenght, not running) you will relase more chemicals that help you life, ie testosterone, hgh, creatine, calcium, etc.

so if you are trying to grow in one area, do a big muscle group first. Like do two sets of squats on a medium weight to get your blood flowing, then do biceps or chest if you want to grow.

The basic principal to training muscles is getting blood flow, so lift hard, and over time you will feel the "pump' when you muscle are trained. Even if you are trying to "cut up" lift hard. Trust me, you won't get too big. It's a challange to get big , you need to eat a clean 4000 plus calories of balanced protien/carbs/fat. If anyone else has questions feel free.

Yeah man, creatine and all that garbage doesn't help much. My bro is a trainer for the Sauber F1 team and he says the best thing is just increasing your protein.

^^i do all those work out except some of those ones you were talkin about on tricepts never heard of them...anyways i know what you mean about makin just upper body big and how that can look gay, trust me im not goin for that but i cant work my legs because i have now had 3 ACL replacements and im too scared to go heavy on my legs so i run and sometimes do lightweight legs but not much anyways thanks for all your tips ill let yall know hjow im doin in a month or so, thanks for all yer help everyone!

 
maybe your problem is running every second day, if you wanna bulk up u dont wanna do much or any cardeo. ask most power lifters to run across the street and they will prolly be out of breath...
