i love the passion that is put into skiing. kids seem to tend to work these shit jobs all summer to earn a bit of money so they can partake in an activity they love. i want to hear of all the shit jobs kids have struggle through to get their clams...

piano mover tops my list.

dishwasher at the sizzler..! now its just 80 hour weeks landscaping and the sports store! surface sticker product management guy!

i'm pretty sure i have that job as a golf course maintence/grounds crew dude locked down after today.

and my friend and I are mowing, edging, raking, bagging, mulching, and trimming...

basically for spending money/second "unclaimed" income.

Mowing, raking, cleaning, weeding lawns.

And this summer I will be a camp counsiler, whihc I am quite looking forward to.

Cleaning girl (retrieving moldy food from under couches), lifeguard (getting harassed by 12-year-old boys), telemarketer (that's what I do now, so if you know anyone with bad credit, tell them to call Lexington Law Firm at 1-800-641-2930 and ask to speak with Kristie), journalist (getting paid between $0 and $20 per article), movie star (I was an angst-ridden pill popper in some shitty anti-drug commercial)...This summer, though, I'm trying work for Herbs for Health and do freelance for City Weekly, both of which would be awesome.

Actually...

I might be able to trade you a 5'7" Fineline Quad Fish straight up for a pair of Live Lifes. It's gloss white, with a reddish orangish airbrush swirl on top. Pretty badass shred sled right there. Oh, and it's in perfect condish. Throw in a leash and some wax if you throw in a t-shirt and stickers, too!

^I'll trade you the rest of my Perocets and and a basket of cherries from my cherry tree for a pair of Live Lifes.

ill kill kristie so we dont have to read stupid shit like that!! in return for a pair fresh socks!

I'm a cook all winter and make really good money but i'm downgrading my stack collection to coach/cook at hood this summer

i was a summer custodian one summer... that was rad. now i've upgraded to REI which is nothin to complain about. cept when the occainsonal psycho customer ruins your day all cuz they are too fat to fit into any of the ski boots we carry, or we dont make childrens jackets big enough for their fatass kid so they have to buy the expensive adult one.

Great question Zissou.

Summer jobs from pasts of the GIV crew

Aerator of lawns

Lawn Mower

Landscape Co. grunt( ie ditch digger)

Sawmill grunt(shovel sawdust, random hauling)

Rock washer for Masonry

as of now i'm working...kmart, city weekly, a company called cut co, and the occasional concert at saltair. none of them are all that shitty. kmart however has made me loose hope in society..

just watched the new msp trailer. despite msp's lack of creativity and their persistence of making the same movie year after year...it still made me want to ski really really really bad. thumbs up on the motivational status.

sorry ion. i would love to, but i'm being a s.o.b. breathing canadian air for the next 6 weeks. the surface gatherative, collective, conglomerate, cooperative, communal, common sounds good. document that crap and make a film, motion picture, informal flick, movie, cinema, skinema. make us all a part of it that weren't able to actually be a part of it.

listen closely. i honest to gosh think that msp got themselves a laughtrack of "ohhhh my godddd"s and "what was THAT!?"s and so on for their trailer. i loved the explosion though.

also, it seems that the opportunity has risen for a voyage to hood for a week sometime in july. see you all there, maybe!

im working on a farm and doing some construction this summer. i cant complain i get payed so its rad
