Work Lunches

So I work on a trail crew meaning that I have to pack a filling lunch each day that I can eat on the trail or in the truck. I often take sandwiches but does anyone have any ideas of replacement meals?

wraps/burritos, ingredients for tacos like cooked meat tortillas etc, hummus and pita bread triangles, pizza, I like to make smoothies and put them in a mason jar and bring a straw, and also just buying a whole pizza and bringing half one day and half the next. The possibilities are really endless

Cold pizza in a plastic bag is amazing

I love pizza but it isn't filling enough for me. normally in a day i eat 3 sandwiches so I'd go through at least an entire pizza or 2...

get some strong tupperware and just bring whatever legit filling meals you can make. it's just as easy to eat, say, chicken and veggies out of a tupperware as it is to eat a sandwich, and your options are pretty much endless there

Invest in a camp stove and bring knoor sides/ramen noodles/dry tortellini cook that shit and and stir in tuna/canned chicken/chunks of cheese/TVP/sundried tomatoes/anything else that tastes good, easy high calorie meal used by many backpackers

Sandwiches are probably the best portable food out there but it is good to mix it up and make a few different kinds. Yesterday I made a bunch of bacon in the morning and used some for a bacon lettuce and veggie sandwich on toasted bread with mayo and the rest for a bacon and peanut butter sandwich on an English muffin.

I make protein bars and they turn out pretty good.

I combine milk, flour, protein powder with dates and nuts and whatever I feel like experimenting with.

my current batch I've got coconut and acai chocolate and it tastes pretty nice.

I usually also have a few bananas to get my carbs up so i don't get super tired as well.
