So i'm a senior in high school and after a shitting turn of events, in November, lost my job working at a ski shop. I have been searching for a job since December and no luck so far. I have applied to a total of 15 places, but still no luck. For info purposes: i apply, then call back a couple days later to make a good impression, asking if they need any more information for my application, and sometimes i call again to just keep my name fresh in their heads. I know that everyone else is struggling for a job in this economy but a little advice would be greatly appreciated. Any tips on applying? any tips on what jobs to apply to?I'm open to anything..thanks

when you go to an interview always give firm handshakes and look them square in the eye.

worked for me hah

look into working in oil and gas

over the summer you can make lots of money as a "roustabout" or rig hand

Personally im going to go work on merchant ships, it just means youll have to quit anything your doing. Its good pay and you get like two months off at a time but you can be at sea for up to three months on some trips, yet the work isnt too hard and their are lots of recreational activitys onboard.

Haha im not quite old enough yet to work yet, next year i will be starting my cadetship. And pirates arnt a large threat like the media makes out.
