Woodward Tahoe designed these

im literrally in the process of building a pair, maybe more if it works out well. For the wheels, I believe they used cruising skateboard wheels next to the bindings and bigger radius scooter wheels for the front. I'm considering skipressing 5-6 1mm plywood layer and a bottom (and maybe top layer) layer of uhmwpe or hpi (more bendy) but i know woodward used a better alliage of 3-4 materials for it to support the landings with the pressure of the ski bindings

For the wheels, I'm trying to find the most optimal design, can't mount them from the side, as the core would not be large enough. It seems that woodward had a 90° metal piece screwed from the top to support the axis.

If anyone knows about anything on the woodward design, materials they used, wheels...I think we would all love to hear!

This thread 4 official build some skis with wheels thread?

I'm trying to reproduce this kind of mounting

think this should go on ski gabber or maybe create a cult...more likely to get views and people giving advise than un gear talk.

Can you "skate" like you would on skis to build up speed? So, would you be able to bring them out and hit urban?

Not really. You can barely turn on them. You just have to basically point them where you want to go and drop in
