YO so I heard about this on Fuel TV last year they had an interview on teh Daily habit with the dude who owns Woodward camps and he said he did a deal with intrawest and was vuilding a woodward for skiing and snowboarding with indoor facility with real snow and Qps with landings into foam pits and jumps into foam pits. and then there was a Post on this forum about it earlier this year anywyas I was wondering if anyone knows details of when its gonna open, what Facilites its going to have and how much? any website links, photos , information ect. would be much appreciated ..

They are pretty far behind schedule, originally they said they hoped to have on-snow features in place by Thanksgiving, now they say Jan or Feb.

Their plan is to have indoor and outdoor facilities up and running by next season, but for this year it will only be the on-snow (outdoor) stuff (if they ever get it happening). They have some airbag training features planned that sound pretty interesting.

They showed one of the airbag features on Fuel TV, it was a jump/step up thing onto an airbag.  It looked pretty sketchy since the skier just stopped and one of skis ejected.  It is a good concept, but the airbags don't look like they work for the application.  Copper just realized that they can't have the best park off     I-70, so they went a different route.  They are able to drain rich kids of their paren'ts disposable income.  The only way to turn it around is to make Tufflemeyer the head coach/spiritual leader.

Copper has some badass stuff in the plans just wait. You'll see it in the spring. They're opening a awesome new indoor bowl too

In the recent colorado ski usa newsletter they talk about it and it sounds sick...

Additionally, construction of Woodward at Copper is well under way. Woodward at Copper is a 19,000 sq ft indoor skiing and riding training facility geared toward park and pipe progression – set to open this coming season. http://www.woodwardatcopper.com

looks epic, i'm glad they're putting some emphasis on freeskiing, unlike a lot of places where they mostly market towards snowboarding.

i just passed by copper this weekend and i saw the facility is under consaruction only the frame and stuff they are supposed to have it up by this season.

I know you all are going to say pics or it didnt happen or your claiming blah blah blah, But whatever. I was at the target house for the 06 x games and was talking to the pres of woodward, and he was explaining that they may go forward with an indoor freestyle training camp. But they were still putting together the design and business plan... I thought he was bullshitting me but I guess he was telling the truth. That is pretty rad to hear.
