Woodward (East)

So I'm relatively new to freeskiing and wanna go to a camp for the summer. My parents won't let me go to windells or momentum or anything like that but will let me go to woodward in pa. Is it worth going there for skiing? Do they even have a camp for that? I know they have a skiing camp in woodward at copper, but I can't go there.

well, i just looked at their online brochure and they say that they have snowboard program, then underneath the list of things u need it says boards or skis, so I'm guessing that they did. but I've heard that they don't really coach u there.

i went to woodward 8 summers when i was younger (not for skiing but for gymnastics) and knew kids there that went for snowboarding and they seemed to really enjoy it. i can only assume that by now that based on woodward's obsession with making things better, they've improved their program a lot since i was last there.

regardless though, there are so many different tramp/landing variations and belt systems and amazing coaches it would be worth it to spend a week or two there. woodward PA is dope as fuck

they do, and it has like snowflex turf or something like that....and they have a kicker into a foam pit along with some boxes i think

Woodward east doesnt have a ski program they have a really shitty snowboard program which is a dry slope jump onto an airbag and then a log jib. Its not even a good snowboard program from what I know its just your daily lesson and then you can either ride the setup or bring bike rollerblades skateboard whatever, but I know for a fact its only snowboarding.

yea, this is true. they have one dry jump, the log jib.
i could have sworn they had a rail to? maybe not

yes they do have a dry slope with a resi jump and bunch or rails and trampolines and foam pits. but it wuld only be worth it if u go for 2 sports like me im goin for skateboarding and skiing . but it is definatly worth it for 2 sports and u dont need to pay extra for 2

There is skiing there. The program is you spend 3 hours a day on trampolines/foam pits, and 3 hours on a snowflex-like set up.

This. It sounds like you're from the east coast, well Ohio is closer than Oregon so maybe your parents will go for it. Plus they are working on a dry slope rail set up and new surfaces for the water ramps! And its a lot smaller so better coaching and more hits on the jumps!

woodward east is not for skiing dude, id just go to a solid trampoline camp or water ramps would be ideal. i went to a camp at whaleback in the summer and i had alot of fun there without snow
