would a wooden urban be hitable in the summer. i've heard wood slides much better when it's cold, should i just wax it and im good to go?

i dunno man. youd have to test it first. cause if its mad hot and sunny, the wax could turn sticky...

yeah were not gonna hit it in like dead summer, i'm thinkin in like 2 weekends, so we'll try some of that stuff. thanks

hahaha yeah we will have the cam ready for some sick falls. the wood shouldn't trash my skis to bad should it?

i found the most epic down c rail today...

i dont see wood working out in the summer to hot and sticky and shit

If your hitting a wooden rail you should probably use skis without edges so you won't catch your edge

Buy spray on lacquer (you'll find it in the same section as spray paint usually) spray it on wait 5 minutes then wax it up and your good to go!

when i tried to build a rail from wood it didn't work (granted it was sloppy and at a wierd angle and i suck at rails) because my ski would dig into the rail and slow down alot.

what you do is you melt around one and a half bars of wax onto each ski, do as many layers as possible (the more the better) never scrape any wax off, and i mean never, once your done that, rub lemon juice on the bottom (belive me, i know what im doing) then put em in the deepfreeze for around 3 days, depends on the ski, take em out and youve got a wood slidin BEAST

When wood is cold and you get it wet it freezes and slides perfectly. When its warm and you get it wet theres a good chance it should still slide fine but you're gonna fuck up the wood way more and if its not your rail then its kind of a dick thing to do.

im not kidding dont put water on it. just get skate wax and load it on. if you dont have skate wax a candle will work too.

yeah were tapin it. and it's probably gonna be step on not to sure yet though we might be able to get snow from the ice rink

tell me how it goes because there is a wooden rail by my house that i would like to hit and i had some of the same questions

or get butchers wax. the stuff they put on bowling alleys. ive never tried this stuff when its war out but it worked perfectly when it was 50. you just have to keep putting it on and make sure your edges are dull.

jeaaaa! fawk wood go buy some angle iron at your local steel shop and bolt that on its like 1$ a foot.
