is it not possible for me to get some woodcore 1080s if im not a pro? or are next years skis wood cores ne ways and i should just wait?

just a thought, but wouldn't the CR and Candide pro-model 1080's (wood-core) be available on the public market? I could understand if they weren't, but I think the expectation would be to have them released to the public in the not too distant future.

the pro models will be available. they dont have cap construction. i think its sidewall or something different. i saw next years pipe skis at my comp and they supposed to be dope. they had the old junior 1080s topsheet for some reason but thats not permanent

ya the labs are wood core and the 1080s are foam. some rep told me the labs were side wall but taht was bunk

the cr and candide promodel are both wood core skis. they are apart of the lab team ski program and are released to the public. they have a galium race base on them so they are fast for pipe skiing, also a lower tip and tail height for pipe, because that is what the ski is designed for. D-structure has them on the shelves in the store, glacier shop in whistler is gonna have them too. they are a little more expensive than the regular tens, but hopefully they won`t break as easily as that shitty ski. buy something else.

ive held/flexed/checked out the candide labs..and honestly, they dont flex or feel any different then the standard 1080...id like to cut them in half and see if its really wood inside

Stiffer 1080 with wood core and sandwich construction... that would be a step forward.

i dont trust salomon anymore, for they broke my heart as i broke my ski, and again with my friend, and so id just go with a dif company....but thats just me.

Shes gonna make coats out of us!
