Women's Slope Discussion

these commentators are fucking brutal... i just started watching like 10 minutes ago. brutal. and that sucks for kaya

oh god nooooo.noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

:(

fuck kaya had some balls hucking that last jump. mustve known she was gonna pull up short but had to go for it anyways because she fell on the first.

tuck and huck

One of the Canadian commentators is doing good, but the other dude is pretty much clueless. Also.. Anyone else super surprised with kaya's runs?

Now moguls is on and some pro is announcing... my ass they cant get someone in there to know what they are talking about during ski or snowboard slope.

I feel for you people in the US and Canada. I thought the BBC's commentary of the Women's slope was bad, (with a ex ski racer and a washed out comp boarder) but it sounds like from here and various twitter posts that NBC's and CBC's commentary is even worse.

Are you serious?

Hard tricking or not, this time her runs were terrible as fuck and painful to watch....the judges rewarded accordingly. All the hype around her is totally unjustified IMO.

I think Tim adds a bit of humour (though each to their own taste on what's funny); and Graham is pretty good at background and story; but you need a play-by-play type in there to call the tricks and talk about the differences, difficulty etc - Paddy springs to mind immediately as someone who has the experience.

Do you have a link to the BBC Livestream...

Just FYI..Download Hola add on for Chrome if you want to watch these streams in any country. Canadian one super slow from US, though.

She just got her tactics wrong. Needed to save her best jibs and the back to back 9's for the finals. She's one of the best chicks in the world atm but just didn't think her tactics through properly IMO

It was a mess start to finish. Damn Germans trying to out-engineer everybody.

Just lay down a solid 75 run and move to the finals. I've not seen a ton of her skiing, but it looked pretty storkish and rigid. She needs to take a few runs with Henrik.

i heard that and burst out laughing. "nice flat spin on the rail". there was also a chick who did 180 on 180 out and they called that a surface swap or something.

Do you think with what she displayed she would have scored higher during the final than what she got before and with others maybe stepping it further up? Find that hard to believe, guess she just didn't have dialed in her skiing - which I really never liked that much so maybe I'm biassed....

Exactly. She put too much pressure on herself it looked like. I've seen her riding at Cardrona and she slays man, just trying to do too much in one run.

WHAT THE FUCK IS WITH THE ANNOUNCING.

I just tuned in and it's ONE guy who knows not an ounce of the sport. Fuck you, NBC. This is a joke.

also, I can only watch a live stream for 30 minutes…?
