women's boots messing up my leg?

i wear some nordica women's boots when i ski cuz i got them free from my mom. they fit my foot really well, but it seems like every day i ski i get at least a little shinbang in them. it's not cuz i have gimpy legs, cuz i spent the summer and fall working out, and it still feels the same as last year, and really, i'm not landing backseat very much at all. i'm thinking maybe it's cuz they're women's boots and have a lower cuff and all that. you think i would fare better with some taller boots like 1080's or something, or does it even matter? anyone that knows, i'd be glad to find out cuz i can get a good deal on last year's 1080's.

my level of radness... it just can't... be quantified.

Well the thing about mens feet being wider doesn't really matter...

the reason you are getting shin bang is because women have very low and very big calves compared to men. So not only are they cut lower, but they are also larger around the calf.

so yea it'd help to get some higher cut proper fitting boots. but if you don't want to spend the cash, just take a sock, fold it in two and put it where your shin goes... it'll make some padding (foam works too... but hey, nothing better than using duct tape and socks to fix your boot)
