Women in combat

Respectable, but all the same time, training experience with a different military is nothing close to combat experience with the us military. And I believe astomp actually has combat experience, and that other guy sounds well experienced also...so I think their opinions hold more weight
 
yeah I'd agree but then I would say for me personally, I see equality then outweighing the difference in opinions to decide for me
 
The fact of the matter is, if you want women in combat positions and treated "equal", have the same requirements for all physical and mental tests. Also, combat zones arent places that a normal women can function, marines go for weeks on weeks without showering, thats not kosher for vaginas. Plus, they menstruate, and we all know that attracts bears.
 
yeah I mean I am for it on that condition. And I think those are scenarios that most normal anyone can't function. and trust me I know some smelly girls it's cool.
 
I see casualty numbers and successful missions as outweighing equality.

A war is not an office. If someone can't hold their own out there, you can't fire them. They become a burden to someone else, which makes the whole thing less efficient.

Only in war, less efficient means less successful, which means dead.
 
yeah I just don't agree that women as a rule are absolutely less efficient, I think there are exceptions. and we really don't know for sure. people cite lower effiency in male preformance too but I honestly think that is up to the men to shape up
 
We'll have to let any enemy combatants know that woman are present, and therefore warfare must change. Our military can change like this. But they won't change how they try to kill us.

And the women might not always be less efficient, but when lives are on the line you don't want to be asking if someone is maybe up to the task
 
of course you don't wants doubts, but they're always going to be there. no one is ever sure if a man is going to be able to preform, but that's why they have the training and the trials, and if women can pass those, well then, give em a shot
 
Must be nice living in a country that does not need to worry about National Defense.

I too have trained with Canadian infantry units that had a gal or two in them. Couple of things:

They lived in the same field environment as the dudes, slept in the same tent (It was COLD) pisssed on the same spot, got naked right next to them. Non of this is currently kosher in the US military.

Second, and most importantly, none of them carried their own share of team gear. Their rucks were pretty much limmited to their personal gear, the guys had to pick up extra weight to make up for it.

Overall, the gals reduced the combat efficiency of the infantry plt, and company. There were only two gals in the Company!!

In other news a democratic congress crawler out of NY thinks assault weapons are too much for women in combat (but the gals should still be in combat) Fucking idiot.
 
Combat ain't about equality. It's about fucking killing people.

and working at walmart isn't about equality, but it should still exist. inequality kills millions and is the cause of most wars.
 
Ha, you, I, and Carlin could agree. The only real benefits to warfare is it's push and advancement it has on technology. Beyond that it's pointless.

But I guess there will always be some sort of dickhead out there, fucking shit up, so we need a military to blow the shit out of them so they can stop fucking shit up... And for that I still respect the military because they generally keep us from getting our shit blown up.
 
Here's an idea.

1.) Make a female regiment.

2.) Wait until their periods synchronize.

3.) Deploy to the front once a month.

4.) tell them Tommy Taliban ate all the chocolate.

I see no issue.
