When does Wisp usually open?

a ballpark date is fine..

official date: December 19th
Actual date usually right after thanksgiving (always opens wayyyy before the offical date they put out)
Considering its supposed to snow here tonight it will be way earlier then december. I hear they will start blowing snow in a week or 2 so theyll be some preseason shit going down
 
apparently thre might be some flurries in the district in the next few weeks, that means actual snow in the mountains maybe haha
 
usually around the beginning of december, give or take... earlier than other resorts in the region like wtail, lib, and rtop.

I might hit wisp over break!

if you're looking for early season tho, try Big Boulder in PA. it opens soon.. way worth the drive!

the reason I'm going with wisp is the cross country skiing for my sister...

i'm sorry.

but for serious, there won't be cross country skiing early season there, but there will be a small jib park that is always a good time.
and the one thing that is sick about wisp compared to BB, is that it isn't crowded.

but basically in all other ways, BB blows wisp out of the water.
 
check out Timberline resort in West Virginia its about an hour and 20 away from wisp adn there is a sick cross country resort called whitegrass there too.

They just want someplace in the mountains and think that deep creek has lots to do

ive heard boulder is looking to open a small park either this weekend or next. probably not worth taking a weekend trip down, but if your close it would be basically unacceptable to miss
 
dont go there.

Anyways cross country skiing starts in like late December (i used to help out in the nordic center where the cross country skiing hq is) its all done on natural snow is it depends on snow fall really.

I heard (from the man himself) that T-wall is hosting a clinic on Tuesday the 30th.

that would be sick.
