Wished you lived by Mt. Hood in the summer?

I live in Portland, OR and most people who live here don't know that Mt. Hood has summer skiing. They always say what are you doing this summer, i say skiing and they call me crazy.

Only about 5% of Portland knows about summer skiing at hood. I really don't understand how you would not find out about hood in the summer. Maybe because the can't see the glacier from Portland. Lots of people i know who ski hood in the winter don't even know!

Well that's what i have to say. Think that's pretty crazy?

i live in seattle and am at hood all summer and no one knows about it in seattle either. its pretty wierd indeed. but shhhhh its crowded enough up there anyway

Dude i go to Barlow and its the same thing, its wierd considering 95% of the people there snowboard and are oblivious to the fact that hood is a winter wonderland AND a summer wonderland. More for me though i guess

i live in seattle but didn't get a chance to go to hood or whistler this summer

a lot of ppl just hike up, and not just to ride public park... i saw a lot of tele skiers walk up the cat tracks just to make one run in the dirty slush

im all the way from washington dc and me and my friend went out there this summer and camped for 2 weeks and skied

when we told people we were doing that they said that we were dumb idiots and there was no snow

I guess the locals have better thing's to do in the summer.

how could their be anything better than skiing? i would do anything to ski in the summer. i guess thats what i get for living in PA.
