Wisdom Teeth

OK.. a couple of my wisdom's have come in already but there's one that's really bothering me. Around the gums is really swollen and hard, like a lump. I didn't notice this until about 2 days ago so it sprung up pretty quick. It hurts to spit, eat, and even talk. The tooth also hasn't come in very far, just the top of it is barely showing.

I was wondering if this is normal or is it like a tumor or something? I don't smoke.. well I mean i have smoked before but only ocassionally, not alot at all. And I'm only 18 so I don't think it's like a cancerous tumor.

Has anyone exerienced pain from their teeth growing in or shuold I go see a doctor right away?
 
Hmm, Ive only completed my MD two years ago and my personal opinion is: Vaginitis.

If this concerns you I would suggest getting another opinion from a certified medical doctor FROM THIS SITE!

Also, the fact that your 18 doesnt change the fact that you cant get cancer, newborns can have cancer; being 18 just means you can fuck and smoke legally. So congrats on being 18, phone number please? I want to call you have have naughty wizard fantasy games with you.
 
well you shouldn't worry too much it will give you wrinkles.. other then that i think you are okay, there is going to be a lump under your gums where a tooth is coming through. the gums of your teeth and your breasts aren't the same deal...you don't have to worry about a lump in your gums...right away. i think you should just consult your dentist. he will probably give you an x-ray and then show you that there is nothing to worry about.

im also a trained profession in the medical field. and yea.. it does hurt,. and yea its propably cancerous, we will have to amputate your head, im sorry to say.

but its alright dont worry,..

also my advice about it hurting to spit.. well.. then SWALLOW DAMNIT!

no serious answers?? there's a huge lump BESIDE my tooth.. no, it's not the tooth coming in, it's something else. and I've had wisdom teeth come in and none of them came in like this..
 
wisdom teeth seem to come in at crazy angles. the xray of my wisdom teeth right now show mine growing perpendicular to my back teeth which sucks, i need to get them out soon. Yours may be growing in a little crooked and its pinching nerves/root of your teeth and causing something to swell up, there are a ton of nerves up in there so alot of pain usually. I would definately see a doctor soon if I were you, or a dentist and possibly get your wisdoms removed.
 
It's totally normal I think.

Getting em removed blows ass. It hurts like shit. I woke up every morning with blood on my pillow for 2 weeks. One of the worst experiences of my life. I think mine were extra bad though.
 
It could be comming in sideways or something. You've had x-rays on them before and the dentist didnt say anything?
 
all four of my wisdoms are coming in about now and the gums all feel sorta sore, but it's not excruciating pain or anything. it might be different for everyone tho, one of my friends had hers come in and she was in alot of pain. i wouldn't worry about it, but maybe you should see the doc
 
You should probably go get it checked out, some girl that lives in the town next to me just died from an infection in her mouth after getting her wisdom teeth removed.
