Wisdom Teeth out.

Ehh.. This is day three after getting my wisdom teeth out. It would be okay if i was given pain pills, but they gave me ibuprofen.. which does nothing.

on the other hand, there will be no constipation from the narcotics, which could be a plus :P

But, those of you who have had it done know how much it sucks.

& when does the swelling go down, each day i've progressively become more swollen.
 
i got mine out yesterday and stoped takeing the pills so my parrents will let me do something tomorrow night. it really wasnt as bad as i though it was gonna be i feel fine. im just bored cuz theres nothing to do
 
drink tons of ice water...ice your jaw from the outside too but i drank mad amounts of ice water too and the swelling wasn't bad at all.
 
i'm goin in on monday to get another out...i have only had one out so far...

 
yeah i got all 4 out at once, ive been icing as much as i can and my face is real big haha.

i was only out of it for like an hour after the surgery.. man i got jipped.
 
that sucks...i am lucky, because it has broke the skin...they dont have to do surgery, they just pop it out with this little prybar tool...its weird

 
definitely think i would still prefer the surgery, hehe...when i got mine out they put me under before they even put the IV in, i felt nothing. wonderful.
 
your doc is a quack cause i had four impacted teeth taken out so they were all in the bone and had to be drilled out. i was on meds and antibiotics a week before surgery so i had very little swelling and no infection and i got 30 vikes so i had very little pain also
 
the first few days aren't too bad, it's the 3rd and 4th where the swelling and pain starts to hit hard. after that if you keep icing it, taking ibuprofen, and start chewing to loosen things up it gets better. im on day 5 now and it's getting much better.
 
i have to get mine out shortly. they said it owuldn't be too bad bacause the roots havn't grown out fully so all they need to do is cut down to where they are and pop them out.

and i havent gotten mine out, and am not looking forward to it if it has to happen, which im hoping it doesnt
 
i got mine taken out when i was awake, its not taht bad, i was eating a steak the next day and went to skiing practice the day after
 
i know how you feel except sorta......i got my wisdom teeth out on thursday (yesterday) and wow let me tell you, I WAS SO FUCKING HIGH when i woke up. my mom had to fill me in on what happenned but i started wheelchairing myself backwards through the halls and doing spins and shit. then on the way home i saw one of my friends in another car and i was practically outside the window the car waving at him. then i went online when i got home and made a complete fool of myself talking to people. it was a good time. my roots werent that big so i feel fine. ive eaten a quesadilla and lots of other good stuff today. i didnt evne get stitches in my upper 2.
 
i had mine taken out last summer, i slept all day after having them taken out, then the next day i was perfectly fine just a little swollen and couldnt eat normal shit...

then it hurt like hell the next 3 days.
 
i had mine taken out in late march, and it was the worst experience ever. i lost like 5 pounds, i couldn't get back into a normal eating routine for a while, chewing food was terrible for the first few weeks, and after having not consumed any foods at all - well, basics such as yogurt, bananas, soups, pasta - for a while, my shitting habits took a tragic turn for the worst. no shitting for a week + meds = sore a-hole for weeks, months... hell, to date!!

I had all mine taken out last summer. It was honestly a fun experience. Which i know is rare but everyone has a different experience. I woke up still high and it was an awesome time, I was thanking the doctor for the surgery as I was leaving and wanted to know when I could come back for more. Yeah it was ridiculous, Then I crashed for a couple hours, when I woke up I kept waiting for the pain and discomfort but it never happened. The next day I was doing whatever. So looking back on it, I can honestly say that it was a goodtime.
 
the dentist that will be taking mine out in a month or so is such a hunk! oh man i'm not gonna have any pain when he touches me. i'll post a pic sometime, he is straight up sexy haha
 
haha first thing i thought was wisdom teeth and constipation! haha oh man thats a story i will never forget. "then it hit me, like a nuclear bomb" hahahahaa
 
I loved getting mine out, it didnt hurt till I got dry sockets. And clean them with that cool shotter thingy or else ou get nasty ass food decayign in your gums
 
wait...all of mine have pierced through the skin.

why do I need surgery.

maybe because of the 5th one getting pulled, the supernumary tooth which is basically coming out of the roof of my mouth beside my teeth, it;s weird, you can see it when I open my mouth and tilt back, so it's all in too, can they use the prybar on that?
