I just got all four of mine out yesterday, and this whole thing is such a pain in the ass.. does anyone know how long it takes for the sweeling to go down? Im talkin chipmunk packin for a serious winter, here.

i was pretty bad, and i was swollen for a week or so...but the day after the surgery i went out and did shit i shouldnt had done and then i felt soooooooooo shitty, so def lay low and ull feel better sooner, even tho everything about it blows.

i forgot, the only good part is right when u wake up and ur wicked dizzy and u cant see shit and u feel nothin, and i got sick from the percs so i couldnt take them... so yea the whole process sucked

mine was fine the next day. i was swimming and doing everything regular. different on everyone. i never took 1 pain pill

for me the swellin went down the day i had em removed, and i had all 4 of em takin out so i guess for diffrenet people you get diffrenet results...

peace

got all 4 taken out 2 years ago. no swelling at all for me just a bit of bleeding for like 12 hours after it was done. ate soft non chewable shit for the first 2 days then a piece of food got stuck in one of the wounds and it got infected

haha well yeah i got all 4 of mine out... i've had nothing to eat but jello for the past 30 hours. The percs made me sick too, so im not takin those. I'd be fine if it wasnt for this whole cheek-swelling thing

well send me those perc's those things are the best pain pill besides morphine and oxy... but i dont do that shit.

6000 posts baby YES!!!!

i got mine out cause i had to have part of my jaw removed. i was passed out for 3 days. the stuff they gave me for afer was fun too, but i have no idea how long swelling takes to go down

They take them out cause you dont have enough room in your jaw, or they are not coming in correctly. To get them out, the cut your gums out and pop out the teeth.

i got all 4 of mine taken out last year. it took about a week for my swelling to be completely gone, but it was mostly gone after 3 days.

I got all 4 taken out a month or two back. I got mad sick from the sedation. I had a fever and throwing up for the first day. It sucked. But after a week the swelling will subside.

I had mine out last year. It was one of the worst experiences of my life, it turns out I don't do well with the drugs they gave me so my blood pressure dropped to 70(almost dead). I couldn't put together sentences or eat for a good 5 hours after I got out, and I couldn't eat solid food for 4-5 days. You really can't do much worse than that!

someone please answer: if mine are above the gums, that makes it a lot easier to get them out right? and makes everything less painfull possibly?

Well you don't feel anything while they're taking them out, pain is not an issue. They could stick your balls in a vice while you were drugged and you wouldn't notice a thing until a day or two later.

the best part is you get nice little baskets in the back of your mouth that will hold food for you for the next 4-8 months and make your mouth taste like ass after you eat, its fun!

Evolutionary advantage, back in the days before toothpaste and dental hygiene, all your teeth would just rot and fall out...so, evolution notices that if you don't have teeth, you can't eat anything and you're fucked...in response to this problem, humans evolved an extra set of molars that errupt in early adulthood...

i had all 4 out and had a pretty easy time of it. the surgery was actually fun cuz of the morphine and i was back at work in 2 days. some of my friends were in bed for a week tho, depends how fast u heal

oh i thought they had to be in completely before they could take them out... well i have a dentist appt in like a month so im sure shes gonna be talkin about it

mine went so well. only one was still impacted. i had hardly any swelling or pain. but i hear it takes about a week or two for the swelling to completely disappear

yeah, its not an overall fun experience (1 was impacted), but i have a high pain tolerance and this is my 2nd mouth surgery, so i think i was prety well prepared. Usually you only get them out if your dentist/orthodontist "suggests" you do, and i was all for it at the time we made the appointment bc two of my wisdom teeth were coming in and messing with my super-straight teeth. But yeah, get em out of a doctor tells you to... its not that bad. And the drugs are definetly a plus.

just dont let the second day when your mouth feels perfecto trick you....see i made that mistake and ate some hard foods, then oh god the third day was hell.

butttttt i absolutely loved the way it felt gettin those drugs injected into my arm.....oh man that was a sweet dizzyness.

ha..My cousin got her wisdon teeth out a little bit ago. We were having steack and potatos for supper and she had jello. So as a joke i put my supper in the blender with a little milk and made her a steak and potato milkshake. It ws nasty tho

it took me a week for to get back to somewhat normal... just pop back the tylenol 6's and ap provine pills

I never told my parents I needed them removed because the dentist just reccomended I did. Fuck that shit, I'm keeping them.
