Hey hows summer going? This is to check up with everyone in the midwest. Does anyone got some info on sunbursts ski park. I got a season pass there and i want to know how the park is. Whats the best time to go to tyrol basin. i was there last year but they jumps were kinda small. the table they had was so samll i kept missing the landing. For all of you that ski in the midwest go to www.mtbohemia.com they got the best skiing around here. and it compares to out west with 900 vert which isnt as big but its got cliffs glads and 270 inches of snow

-Sunburst sucked last year so I am staying away from it this year! And those asshole's kept kicking me out of the park because I was on my old skis while my twins were in the shop.

-Usally late January or early February is good for Tyrol because it when the midwest has the best snow. Therefore bigger and/or more jumps.

-Mt Bohemia is awesome. They don't care what you do and the terrain is sick, not to mention tons of snow! Too bad it is so far away.

-Don't forget Granite Peak (Rib Mtn.). They are supposed to have 30 more runs this year! And two parks and a pipe. Probally the best all around hill in the midwest!

i got a pass to tyrol and sunburst this year, tyrol is sick, and they're jumps deff arnt small, not the big air anyways......... sunburst is gonna be gay like always, but you cant turn down a 99.00 pass can yah.

blahblahehelablablah

Yeah i have heard they are assholes at sunburst but the park will be bigger this year with a longer rope tow. I was at tyrol last year but i must have been so out of it becuase i dont even remeber a big air jump. last year what my frist year of freesking with skiboards though so this year i will get some twin tips and ski tyrol a few times this year

Dont forget about Marquette Mountain. This winter it will be better then any other ski area in the MidWest. They have back a park guy fresh from Mammoth and June mountain. Check it out this winter!

Marquettes in MI, far from WI. Good snow in Jan and Feb, that gave me a good laugh. Anyway the big air jump at Tyrol is one of their biggest priorities it seems, so its usually pretty good soon after opening, then comes the halfpipe, then the jibs (including a sweet s-rail).

Tyrol is fun. They could use an overhaul of their design of the park. The pipe is sick, when it is groomed, but it can go to hell quick on busy weekends. Sunburst sucks. Devil's Head and Cascade haven't really any parks. 15ft. jumps and really badly cut pipes. Granite sucks even worse. More runs, yes, more insight on park, no. Their pipe was 11ft. wide when they first opened it in February. Great job people. Things might change this year. My friends and I are putting forth a proposal to management to do their park, but they are thick headed. Spirit Mt. in Duluth is really fun. Long flowing park, lake-effect snows, cheap passes. Marquette will be on point with Stu back from Mammoth and June. He knows what is up.

Don't laugh Big_Willy! The snow in late Jan early Feb is the only time it is halfway decent in the midwest! I will be taking full advantage of it!

Cascades park(s) this year are going under a major rehaul. All rails have been officially approved and are being built as we speak.(kinked, gapped, rainbow,etc....) The only thing that tyrol will have over cascade this year is the invert rule and cheaper tickets. As far as half-pipe, Funbox's and other modifications have also been approved. There are two groomers now that will be specifically designated to the park and pipe this year. Cascade may have been a little slow in catching on, but they are starting to make a comeback.

sunburst was fun last year, i hit my one only landed switch five off of the big table.

tyrol has the best park in wisconsin, hands down.

cascade has horrible jumps. they had a rail, but it sucked. they have a good pipe, though.

marquette was really good, i went once, it was really snowy and slow, though, but i did manage to pull a 7.

and what about switz? little switzerland. that place is fun, even though the park is a little slow and the tables are skinny.

...I heard that about cascade, hopefully it will be better. And I was just laughing because the MW makes most if not all their snow and it always seems pretty much the same.

Cascade is alright for the rec. skier or someone just getting into park skiing, but othrwise i'd upgrade to something out west or elsewhere, becuase of the fact that the upper staff are nazis. mwas!!!

i like the jumps at little swiss but no rails and teh park is dominated by either 10 year old fat snowboarders or complete asshole snowboarders taht hate skiers

a couple people at my school who snowboard a lot said something about them not being able to have a park this year? Is that true I know they had to tear it down at the end of last year.

Rastafarians believed Ronald Reagan was the Anti-Christ

yeah i asked some boarders the same thing, and they said it was coming back up. the thing about switz boarders is so true, so many are dicks its unbelievable. theres some azmazing boarders out there though.

suburst should be a lot better this year, but really they should get rid of that snow tube shit and try and put some rails or other jumps.

i really hope lil swiss has a park so they all dont come to sunburst. and they are taking out the trees in the upper section to add a couple jumps and hopfully they will build lips on the jumps so we dont have to

are they takin out trees at sunburst? that would be sick, we need more jumps and yes deff need lip, the jump had nothin last year

blahblahehelablablah

yeah i know first hand how little switz boarders are asses. The thing is every saturday those traveling ski schools are at sunburst or switerland. you know what i am talking about not one of those kids can ski and they make the lift lines last 20 minutes. anyway sunburst will hopefully be better i got that 99 buck season pass which is tight. Mt. bohemia is the best in the midwest they are the only pass here that has back country skiing with cliffs and pow.

im pretty sure its true about the trees. it says directly on the site that the rope is longer this year, so that means its definitly longer this year.

ive never been to GP but, i just looked at their site and it said this

Once sufficient base has accumulated, Granite Peak's two terrain parks will sport an array of elements that will leave the adventurous breathless.

Stair Steps,Halfpipe Rails,Spine,Rainbow Rail,Hip Jump,Box Slide,Tabeltop,Jump Series

Cascade has a trail map with 2 parks, and the 1st one isnt really a park. it has a single jump, and the 2nd one has 3 or 4 jumps, and 1 rail last time i was there. their pipe is pretty short, and the lips are shit

Do you all even read the rest of the posts? Granite Peak sucks my left nut. They have shit. They are all talk, like most every other Midwest resort. Our friend is supposed to groom at Cascade, so look for improvement there, GP is shit unless they take on some outside help to get it done. Late.

i was there last year and it was a shit hole, i hated it...... they say they got 50+ runs, well they count all the little ones to taht like conect a run with another run, its kinda gay.....i went in late january and they had no jumps that i could find anyways not worth the trip if you ask me

blahblahehelablablah

i really hope sunburst expands there park, but isnt it kindof flat at the top? how would you get enough speed?

sunburst totally beat switz last year, but i like them both the same.

we should make a sunburst two planking posse.

switz is a bitch hole. all it is are kids that cant ski and boarders that think mute grabs are the biggest tricks out there. and their mogul feild wasnt more then 10 bumps on a hill. hopefully sunburst will be better i got a season pass there and hopefully i will be at tyrol a few times

okay, ive seen some of the craziest shit thrown down at switz. these two fags with 1080s, and this is no joke, went off the last table top at the exact same time and did frontflips. it was sweet. then one did a frontflip and the other did a backflip at the same time. it was pretty cool. this other asian guy was there, he looked like a news reporter or something, but he was throwing down too. haha, it was funny. he had this 360 with a tiny mute grab, but then he did like a daffy twister kosak, it was hilarious. i also span a 900 at switz, but died. so all and all, people do huge stuff at switz.

oh yeah, and two years back, some dood did a huge switch backflip. i remember seeing it from the bridge and having a hot orgasm.

i dont know when u where at switz but those tables are so small. sure they might have done that stuff with is tight and all but i was over jumping the landing there with skiboards come on how much smaller can u make a jump if u over jump it with skiboards
