Wintergreen Park

There is a new kid in charge of the park up at wintergreen. He snowboards, but i hear we can expect a lot more snow features this year... any one know when they plan on opening anytime before december?

who knows, but i sinceeeeeeeerely doubt it...usually it doesnt even think about opening until at least the second week in december. if it does, though, i might go and set up the flat box for a little bit like we did on the first day last year. im moving out west after this semester though, so it's not really a huge priority for me right now.
who is this, btw?

oh, and if youre in richmond like your profile says, set something up in your back yard and get some ice rink snow going and ill come hit it. my friend connor lives in short pump and he's got a setup in his backyard. you can hit it if we do it again this year...he plays football for our school, so he wont have any free weekends pretty much until the ski season starts because they're probably going to the playoffs this year.

I'm jeffrey... i live in good ole mechanicsville haha... yeah man if you set up that flat box on opening day i'd definitely be interested in hiking it. If i set up a backyard rail i will definately let you know.

yah it just depends on when opening day actually comes...if it's in the middle of exams (likely) im just gonna skip it and wait until i move out west...maybe stop at APP or some of the WV resorts along the way to get a fix

the shit wintergreen puts up hardly justifies being called a park. i wonder if they still trash it 3 times a year for the stupid skier/boardercross

Yes, the park is much better then it had been in the past few years. This is due to a new guy they hired to operate the piston bully. I dont know the details but i was told he worked out west before wintergreen. The second is the addition of a park supervisor, He is also the free ride team coach. Danny is his name and he is a Certified Level 3 instructor along with having his park creds. With his involvement and the new guy behind the wheel the park has been very nice especially considering the amount of slope they have to work with.
...and yes they do close Half the park down 3 times a year for skier/snowboard cross. We had USASA event this past year and it had a great turnout. They park is ment for everyone....it has no ownership so a small amount of respect and common curtsey is expected.

Thanks
