Winterfest Railjam

isnt Winterfest Feb. 2-4 and Grand Prix 9-11? So how would that ^ wourk out?

the actual gran prix is on the 3rd and the 4th the gran prix revolution tour in the next weekend. we got the gran prix last minute because one of the stops on the east coast didn't have enough snow

 
hmmmm... so nobody has any info? usually pickupfullofsnow has all the details on everything ha... waiting on a possible update from him or someone else?
 
only stuf i know is off the website. pikupfulofsnow is filming with PBP this year so he hasnt been around as much

ive been hearing a lot of crazy rumors.. the one ive heard the most is there will be two rails, on will be an A frame rail with like a 10 foot gap in between, and then a flat rail thats 16 feet off the ground????

Friday night, show up at 4 to register for the am contest, they dont want you registering so soon incase you dont have the skill for the setup. Its going down in the park on bondstreet right next to mcmenamins/old st francis. 25 entry.

Saturday night is the pro division same goes with the exception of 50$ entry, and the top 3 competitors based on fans choice from friday night will get free entry into the comp.

Set up is to be ridiculous, all rails start at 16ft off the ground, with total consequence on either side if you fall. 30 ft single barrel on left side, and 15ft down rail, to 3 ft gap to a 12 ft down rail.

The original idea was for an invite only contest, however with winterfest tradition, they decided to make it an open comp. however they DO NOT want you to register prior to seeing the rails and noing or not if you can do them.

Sounds like it will be sick whether or not i do it, with the grandprix in town and the local oregon skiers who kill it.
 
hmmm idk theres alotta good ppl on bach that cud do it.... tim, aj, dan, jp, kevin, nik, ummm mark but i dont think he lives here any more, dewi, and idk a bunch more ppl might come from other areas
 
i wont be there in time friday, might give it a go saturday though if its not too sketchy

$50 entry is a lot of money

yea, setup is rediculous, how can you even speed check into the rail? and ur supposed to huck with such little time, shits dumb. yo sj u sound pretty confident, what u gonna throw on that 30ft down?
 
rowleys killed it, scott was only one to go switch on. he got a switchup in, and almost got switch lip slide on it. he killed it.and garret killed it to, he got a switchup in, and almost got 270 on. it was sick. also chris jordan stomped a 270 out which was sick, and then dewi and another stomped it also. set up was kinda sketch, but scott and garret killed it for sure. jp got hosed with registration!
 
I'm new to town so I don't know anybody here, but I thought it was hilarious that the only person to grease the rail during the first hour or so was a skier... the 2nd person to hit the rail, a guy in green pants. After all the, "do you guys want to see some SNOWBOARDING?!?!?", nice to see skiers killing it.

I'll be there tonight too.
 
na, i was gonna film, but it was to compicated. there were NO skiers in the pro jam tonight, kind of a bummer, but the snowboarder who won killlled it. garret got 270 on 270 out in the am contest... it was sick
 
doesn't sound like there's going to be a legit slopestyle in Oregon this season, which is really fucking depressing
 
ya its tooo bad we dont have a legit comp too figure it out... i think jp, Dan, and chris could give any hood rider a run for their money.....

this seriously needs to happen, like have a vegetate slopetyle this year with a decent course. that will never happen though
 
I'm not trying to drop names or call anyone out, but in fun speculation I would say one of the Rowleys could take them on, I'm thinking Garret. And seeing a slopestyle comp between all the Oregon locals would be really fun, someone should set that up.
