Winter X Course Preview

Except slopestyle will have 4 jumps in a row instead of 1... And the athletes know they can´t throw the same trick twice in their run, so we´ll most likely see 4 huge different tricks in every run.

I like the rail setup this year, lots of room for creativity and different approaches. And i bet we wont see more than a few really outstanding tricks in the rail section anyways.
 
that being said, Henrik is going to slay. I dont think anyone in the game has as big and diverse a bag of doubles as him. Wallisch will do right dub 10 to left dub 12 to sw left dub rodeo 10 to sw right dub rodeo 10
 
i dont see a problem with more doubles, i think its a lot easier for skiers to prove their finesse on jumps than rails. but the rails they have are really cool looking, the fist set with the wall ride and close out is awesome, and theres gonna be some sick tricks. the second set up is cool too and give them more opportunity to throw some stock rail tricks. id much rather see 2 interesting rail features than 3 or 4 boring ones like they had last year.
 
Doubt it, Jossi hasn't been skiing well in competitions this year. I think gus has a much better chance at winning 3 medals.
 
Word, I think the night time slope deal is brilliant.

Rubbersoul, don't know if you've been on a slope course, but they're typically pretty damn icy anyways, don't know that it'll make much of a difference. Besides, it's not like these guys have edges on their slope skis anyway, haha.
 
I think you're right, except that he may do left dub 10 to right dub 12 to sw left dub 10, to sw rt dub 10.

Seen him stomp right dub 12 a few times, figure he'll do that for extra tech diff.
 
I was talking about this on the lift yesterday. I will be very surprised if we don't see all 4 dubs. To my knowledge it hasn't happened yet in competition, correct?

I would like to see left dub 12 to right switch dub 10 to left switch dub 12 to right dub 10 (or 14, whatever). Bobby or Wallish would be most likely, me thinks.
 
You forget that Elias landed the most trips in JOI last year. He had them on lock by the end. X Games invites riders based on how they've done in competitions in the past year or two. That's way more consistent then choosing whoever puts out a good edit recently.

Left dub 10

Right dub 12

It’s crazy how 4 doubles in one run is going to be pretty much standard....
 
I meant sw. right dub 10 and then sw dub cork 12/14.

Although if he did it the first way it’d be incredible! haha
 
every contest gets so boring to watch, this is nothing new. dub with a mute from every skier over every jump
 
Not sure if some riders will attempt the triple on the 80-footer. Doing a triple after throwing doubles on 3 jumps before sounds like suicide to me

When you guys say all four dubs, do you mean all four dub CORK, or any dub variation?

I wouldnt be surprised if tom does it. right dub 10, left dub 12, sw left dub 10 sw right dub 10. or for bobby, sw right dub 10 to sw left dub 12. Gonna be interesting.
 
Which way he does his forward dub 10 and 12 will literally make no difference in my opinion. In my opinion, you have to look at a slopestyle run with the most diverse tricks, obviously. But why would somebody like Andreas do more right side jumps than left in the last Dew Tour? Yes, unnatural is obviously harder, but it's not about the way you spin, but that half of your jumps are right and the other half are left.
 
the rail features are so on point!! jumps look real good too. stoked to watch qualies and finals thursday
 
ehh course doesn't look like anything fancy. I wish they would take an idea form Candide and get some snow sculptors to dress the features up a bit more.

There's barely any room between the jumps. It looks like if you go really deep then you better be ready for the next jump right away.
