WTF that list is horrible. I thought T Hall was going to be competing this year in slope. I could go into depth about why some of the invited skiers shouldnt be there but I dont feel like ranting now.
 
I was going to write the exact same thing.

All those skiers are far better than Peter and deserve a spot over him. Especially Jacob and PK, who have absolutely destroyed competition scene with wins an NAO and all the city big air comps. Sure, the X-Games committee is just looking for ppl with big comp wins, so I can kinda understand in some distorted view of reality why Henrik isn't in. BUT, with a win at North American Open...how the FUCK is Jacob Wester not invited?

and yeah what the fuck peter O should not go over henrik and PK...are you kidding me? guy hasnt progressed in anything other than pipe in years...

that seemed logical to me at first, but think about it. if that were true, that owuld mean jon, and andreas didnt automaticaly make it in. so that leaves the quedtion about sammy c open, and im pissed to see no henrik
 
Couldn't agree more, why the fuck is Olenick invited? I guarantee its only cause hes a local or whatever, "fan favorite", and brings out people to the event. So wack.

There is absolutely no reason Henrik, Tom and PK shouldn't be at X.
 
does anyone know if freerider is going to do fantasy freeride again this year because they dont have anything on their site yet.

I hate the way the slopstyle has just turned into another big air contest. Invite some more guys with tech rail skills!

Is there anything the NS scene can do to suggest other riders to ESPN? As with most of you, I think PK and Henrik should be in. I'm sure the NS scene has enough influence for it to happen.
 
Henshaw has probably the best results of 2008. 2nd US open, 1st Orage European, 2nd red bullrplaystreet , he won in New zeland i think
 
I think this same type of thing happened last year, and if i remember correctly, this is just the initial list. More will get invited and more will qualify. Furthermore, i believe the selections are based on results, so each of those guys must have done something decent within the last year.
 
I dunno if you noticed, but X-Games has a lot to do with money... hence the reason Pete O and Colby and a few others who haven't placed well recently are on it.

Russ is so sick... he has a chance of winning for sure.

And we all know who the best, most deserving skiers are in terms of skill, but I'm sure the people who choose the riders are more focused on the big names that everyone recognizes. NS loves Henrik, but I don't think he's that well known in the US yet to your average joe.
 
wheres t hall? he said he was doing slope.... are any more people gonna be at the quals? maybe henrik and sammy c and thall will make an apppearance there
