Well lately i cant take my mind of of skiing even though my season is still 3 and a bit months away. I remember last year someone found some sight of that seasons snowfall predictions for canada and USA. He divided the map into regions and would say more snow than average, colder thean average, less snow thanaverage etc..... And from what i remember he said how the ice coast was getting much more snow than usual which did happen.

Anyone see any predictions for this coming winter??

PNW forecast didnt look that great. But they said that two years ago and it was incredible. I am feeling an early season...

Fuckin A im ready!

I never look at those cause it always seems to be the opposite... but anyways if summer has been any indiciation of how winter will be i cant wait cause its been cold and rainy and never really terribly hot. im in ontario though, idk about the rest of you.

southern ontario, mainly the area around collingwood is gonna get a shit storm of snow this year. there is soooo much water in the lakes and bays around here its retarded and thats where all the storms come from in the winter is over the bay.

With all due respect, the amount of water in the Great Lakes is relatively constant, and is not the deciding factor in how much snowfall occurs in the snowbelts.

It all comes down to the winds, the cold air masses, lake temperatures, and air pressures. That is what really matters with lake effect snows.

Also, here's some long range outlooks based off the European Model for Canada and the Northeastern US.
