The are tons of schools on the front range. It depends on what you want to do. If you want to ski and party and occasionally show up to class with five hundred other hungover kids go to CU Boulder or CSU. If you actually want to learn things in college look at school in Denver or Colorado Springs (UCCS and CC are both smaller). Otherwise, there's See Me Ski (Colorado Mountain College) in Steamboat, Fort Lewis in Durango (the San Juans get sick powder), and Western (Wasted) State in Gunnison, near Crested Butte.

how is the riding outside of the park? compared to say vail or keystone?

if you go to mines and want to graduate you pretty much don't get to ski.

its nice outside of park...good all mtn skiing...head over to mary jane for crazy bumps, chutes and big lines...go up to cirque

YES! Omg I myself love WP. The park is actually pretty good, better than a lot here. As far as bumps, you can't get better than mary jane. Plus, the backside has great powder, and NO ONE goes over there!

Oh ya, and just cause peeps party at CU doesn't mean its a good school. Its great, best of both worlds IMO.
