Winter Park

I'm going to Winter Park, CO this Feb. to visit my sis. What do I have to look forward to?

Any other slopes you suggest out there? Vail? I took 10 days of vacation to head on out.

the best moguls in the world

a crazy horse jib at the very start of railyard

super pipe

get a pass so you can go into dark territory because thats where the huge stuff

and a log jib

and tons of other features because witer park is the best resort in the world

Word. I'm just starting this season, but my sis is pushing me to get in the pipe. She boards there on the daily. I figure a broken bone or two won't affect me all that much.

Are the locals chill? My sis talks that place up hard. She loves it.

I take it that's your home mountain? Maybe I'll see you up there. I'll probably be the black dud in a body cast watching the jibbers crying.

WP is super chill and good to go. Get a Dark Territory pass for the big stuff for sure and say hi to anybody you want, most if not all are really cool and friendly, boarders and skiers both.

nice i'm going there feb break with my friends too. Well its actually with my school and im so excited because this is my first time skiing outside of the east in the u.s besides italy and japan.

Any of you guys ever hike up at Berthoud Pass? I've been up there a couple times and feel like I haven't even come close to exploring all of its potential. Any suggestions on what to hit up there?

Buy the book, "Backcountry Skiing Berthoud Pass" which can usually be found at Icebox next to ACE in Fraser. Came out in 2005, really good descriptions on a lot of stuff. Doesn't cover 1st or 2nd creek at all, but in my opinion that is good. Most stuff at berthoud you don't need a guide book for, but trust me, the book is awesome.
