I go to Ohio University and the ski club is takin a trip out to winter park on December 13-21st. I've been out west before but never this early in the season. What should i expect...how much snow, amount of trails that are open, and the condition of the parks.

Well, being from Ohio and now living here in Denver, expect something infinitely better than ice on an 800' downhill (Perfect North).

All the runs should be open by mid-December. As for conditions, if it snows, there will be good conditions, if no snow, they should still be good. Not sure about park conditions, don't spend much time there.

it is really unpredictable, you will defiantly have a park to ride (not sure how big). But you could get dumped on or you may just get sunny weather. Either way it is better than Perfect North (I'm from Indiana)

It should be a good time whether the snow is bad or good

Mary Jane side is set to open the last week in nov. so most the mountain should be open by the time you get there. Last year they had their dog patch park set up by then, i don't remember if rail yard was open yet, probably not. But dog patch has some smaller rails, boxes, wallrides, idk like 8-10 features. they also had 2 jumps that were like 15 and 20 at most but fun. Tree skiing might be skiable then, but it depends on the snow, last year it dumped pretty hard aorund the end of december so you may get lucky. and it looks like you'll be there before the x-mas crowds so it shiould be a good time
