Winter Park IS pissing me off!

Never posted anything negative about winter park, but this is kind of the straw that broke the camel's back.

On their website it states the superpipe is open, but it's not. The last two days all i wanted to do was ski pipe, i get there and it's closed. I'm guessing it will remain closed for the remainder of the season so they can build their superpark which only the burton team will be allowed to hit. I hope that i am wrong. An any case they should post it somewhere that it will be closed and stop ripping off the skiers and boarders that come to ride it.

When they do their burton shoot they'll throw the pics everywhere and lead people believe that their terrain park is just like that and that anyone can hit it.
 
that's what they've done in the past. And how much did intrawest pay transworld when to rate wp's park number 1 in colorado 2 seasons ago. The park rides a little better now, but still not close to breck or some others. I call bullshit.
 
It was open yesterday, and a rumour I've heard is that the birton shoot has been delayed, so it might be open for a while longer.
 
you bring up a really good point... all parks are perfect for photoshoots for pros, but in reality they suck balls everyother day. that happens all the time at northstar, it gets rated on their after season and custom stuff. which is why every one thinks that northstar is so great, but it deserves nothing anywhere near #2 park in north america.
 
I think all you people complaining about winter fuck part should come up and ride the midwest sometime. It'll have to be next year though, since most hills have been closed for a while already. Then you get to see how fun 200 feet of icy park really is, and then you can go back to winter park, kiss the snow and pretty damn glad at least your skiing in the mountains.
 
dude, they always close the superpipe in early april to set it up for the Burton Pro Team shoot! dont stress!

why do you guys always have to come in with the "stop your bitching shit least you have snow" well how about you stop YOUR bitchin' and dont chime in on something that has nothing to do with the thread.

i feel for you guys, that does suck, i sure am glad to ride snowbird, and im thankful of that, so if i have the slightest complaint about it do you really need to shove a monster dildo up my ass and tell me im a spoiled bitch and at least i have snow?
 
I hate their park its gay. You have to pay to get in to the "dark territory" what a bunch of bullshit i just go ride a better park like keystone
 
i love winter park, and always will. but i do agree, they need to make that more public, when the pipe will be closed, happened to me last year, i wasn't so happy.

So wp tried to have their 22" pipe open to the public for the last week of the season. They had so much snow, it made it extremely difficult, but it was open today(the last day of the season)and it was sick! Some of the best pipe skiing i've ever had. The park was overall riding extremely well for late season. Thanks wp park crew.
