Does anyone else love that smell of winter? I don't know how to describe it, but you know it when you smell it. Maybe it's just the cold dry air of the northeast. But I was walking into school this morning, super grumpy, and then I smell it. And suddenly, my day brightened. Anyone else know what I am talking about?
 
I know what you're talking about...weather says its supposed to snow for a while here in WNY tomorrow, and I can definitely feel it coming.
 
oh if here just was even a inch of snow. Its still +8 degrees. And the smell of cold ski resort. You know that, know that? When t bar is all frozen and you clean it up hahahaha i love that
 
So lucky! I live in southern maine, and we haven't seen snow yet. However, the weather said possibly snow friday, and I have no school.... so I am gonna be jibbin' a rail in my yard. Sad, but it gets me on my skis.
 
yeye, but its more of just freshness/coldness

ps SNOW forcasted for NY (Eville) thursday and saturday, and a lil mixed with rain ala ontario
 
i plan on getting up really early on one of those mornings where there's just a skiff of snow on the ground, setting up my rail, a couple of lights, and a tripod. just to get some skiing in
 
Gahhh I live in Ontario an it sucks ass! It's cold but there's absolutely no snow yet. My first day skiing is in 45 days
 
No. Probably not a lot, at least where I am. Southern VT is getting 6-12, around SR should be getting 3-6. Where I live, maybe an inch but its October so i'll take it.

of course the storm misses the finger lakes region where my mountain is and completely misses my city, Rochester

Also yesterday it was 80 degrees. so i think this so called "winter" I experience in Kansas might be a little ways away :(
 
Hahaha I totally thought Game of Thrones first when I saw this post.

But seriously, the cooling weather makes me sooo stoked!
 
i feel like everything smells better when its cold out. also the company that caters all the food at my school is the same at my local ski hill, so the dining hall always smells like the lodge. me gusta.
 
love that feeling, it's supposed to snow tomorrow in CT hypehypehypehype

similarly the best feeling ever is walking outside during the winter right after you take a shower

 
supposed to get snow here in northwest CT tomorrow and friday. nothing sticking, just flurries, but it's still snow and it makes me happy!
 
I live in Maine and I'm stoked for sunday river to get snow. A week or so ago it was 33 at night. It smelled like winter. I just stood outside and took it in. It made me so stoked for winter.

i just had to watch this and it got me pretty pumped. even if we just get an inch tomorrow.

 
For the past two years on my last football game of the season, it has snowed. I fucking love the feeling winter brings to me. The cold brisk air in the morning and through out the rest of the day just relieves me of all stress. God I fucking love winter. Can't wait to start skiing again
