Hey NS,

This winter I want to kick off a new project. I want to put out either a New Schoolers Movie or put out Episodes every week.

So what I need is a handful of skilled skiers who live in or near the Midwest area. The catch is, is that if you live more than a couple hours away I would need a place to stay and I'm not big on spending a lot of money on hotels.

The episodes or movie is going to be about mostly skiing but it's going to also be about meeting new skiers, seeing new hills and traveling all over the midwest area.

So if you're down to be filmed this winter and willing to let me stay at your house for a night let me know.

 
You could do this but with a bunch of others shots that they send you weekly (not just send you a camera dump of shot but the best of that week). Then if you have a quiet week or a bad weather week you can still put out an edit.
 
so i checked out your profile, you have no uploaded videos, and i cant find any work of yours at all, i would say that people are going to surely want to know that you're a legit filmer before they let you crash at their place?

same goes for getting people to send you their clips, i personally wouldnt be happy about sending my shots that ive worked to get to somebody that ive never met, nor has any evidence that they can actually put together an edit that is worth watching.

You bring up a good point.

I've been around editing software for a long time, and have shot skiing before. I also plan on dropping a short edit at the beginning of the ski season. I understand if people are skeptical about sending me their footage, but when I make the edit with their footage they will be the first to see it and be able to give feedback. The owner of the footage would have full control over the edit and anything they want added or removed will be done.
