Hey NS. The dates are out for the winter dew tour.
Breckenridge: December 18-20Snow Basin: Jan 15-17Mount Snow: Feb 5-7

Idk anything about snowbasin, I'd never even heard of it before and ive heard of every major resort. It must not be a very good place huh?

Actually, that's not true. WInter X used to move around to different resorts...for example, I know they were held at Crested Butte at some point....maybe in '96 or '97.
They did make the decision to hold them annually at Aspen at some point though, and the last several have been held there.
So you're sort of right...

yeah, i know what your talking about. at one point they were at mount snow. I think Aspen's contract with the X-Games runs out soon, but i'm probably wrong.

snowbasin is my favorite. but when I think of them.. epic terrain park does not come to mind. have they ever held any major comps before?

i heard an anouncement last x-games that it will be in aspen till 2012 i hope sal masakala was right.

Did anyone see that coming? What's the reasoning for Snowbasin?

They seem to have the facilities for it, so maybe that's why...

Does Dew Tour build their own course?

snowbasin usually has a shitty park but they got a new manager and they are surrposed to be stepping it up a ton (park wise)

yeah, i was thinking the same thing about snow basin. last time i went there i was pretty disappointed in the park situation, but i guess there gonna make their park legit. but one thing i do know, is that they have the nicest lodge ive ever been to. felt like i was in a nice hotel lobby the whole time.

yes because at mount snow when the dew tour left the park people could not keep the canon box in good shape I asked why and they said the dew tour builders did it and the mount snow people aren't as good as making stuff as the dew tour people.

SPT comes and helps build the course along with the home mountain's builders. So, instead of just three to four guys shaping jumps and installing rails in a two-three week period, you got an extra two or three along with SPT's own cats.
So, when you still have to drop two rails in at 10 p.m. the night before the practice sessions, it goes a bit smoother to say the least.
Also, by no means is SPT designing the course because it's all a group effort. They have their own rail (urban down last season) that gets put in, but everything else is open for discussion. They def put their input in and see how it'll work and in the end, it's a nice collective agreement on what's best for the course and will have the best vibe among the athletes.
Hopefully this year the weather cooperates a bit more !

Because he's on their dick?
The Mt. Snow stop was dope last year....legit pow day the day after too.
The after party at the Snowbarn was the tits....I even did shots with Wallisch, Walker, and Houle!!! OMG what a claimin' ass pro hoe I am! Some foreign dudes (Persian?) got booted for not having ID and caused a scene...glorious.
Even better claim...I ran into Travis Heed randomly in town at some bar. He was actually a really good dude. He claimed to have just signed with 9thward.
