Winter at Westminster

http://www.westminstercollege.edu/snow/ I got a package in the mail about this program. Basically you ski almost every day, get 12-16 credits, get backcountry and avalanche training, and its cheap compared to most private colleges. I cant do it because of my major, but everyone should check it out. Looks like a sweet deal.

I dont understand why you would pay a school lots of money to do something that you could just take a semester off and do for free... if you want to use your semester abroad skiing, get over to Europe to do it atleast.

its a really great program one of my good friends did it last year and now he is staying out in utah. i would do it if i wasnt already going to be living there.

I wish I had found it before the winter of my Junior year, I certainly would have taken advantage of it.

I did it last year...  it's cool, but a bit overrated now that they fired Cracroft.  Just come out here and ski, you can still take class if you want too.  You don't need to spend $3K to have a lot of fun.  I ended up transferring and staying here, which is I think the main purpose of the program.  Westminster is alright if you want to pay a lot of money to learn stuff.

so I'm really fighting for them to let all the Winter @ West. kids have their own floor this year.  Last year we partied pretty hard, and having a W@W floor would just be epic.  haha, sorry if it doesn't happen though, I hear as a result of our efforts last year, they are not very keen on the idea.
