The 2.35 crop is real, christ.

I am so torn between deciding whether or not cropping my footage actually looks good or I've got some kind of aesthetic complex where I somehow think it looks more artistic being more widescreen.

I think if you're shooting on a tripod for the crop it works but everyone just takes their glidecam footage and crops it and usually the framing isn't great. It's just a phase, it'll pass.

Really only made 1 good edit this year, as nobody at my local hill wants to be filmed, so I plan on making more trips up to Saddleback, Loaf, and the River this year to get some better edits going.

Hell yeah, think I've seen you guys shredding around the Loaf/SR, still never been to Saddleback :(

If you frame it right it can work. I feel like if you use a 2.35 aspect ratio and mis frame something it is automatically blamed on the aspect ratio and a dumb trend?
