dont know how they plan to edit around "my dick" not really what i would call a ski song but hell if porboyz can ruin the most diverse selection of skiers then i guess they can do anything they want
 
I thought with the theme of Reasons being a bit more serious and the movie having a bit more of a feeling to it, PBP would have chosen songs that have a bit of class and originality, but wow, WHAT A JOKE!!!! There were a hundred better hip hop songs on that list(Dave's was siiiiick).This has completely put me off buying Reasons.

so you decided to give free stuff to the ones that took the piss out of the comp rather than the ones that made a decent input to actually try and help PBP make a sick movie? Nice.
 
My song would have costed so much money to get the rights for that I would have been overly surprised if they would have chose it.

Anyway no matter what the song for the urban segment will be the skiing will blow your mind so please calm down and take a deep breath they just gave away a WHOLE bunch of dvd to some members and try your luck again next time. With that many entries it was clear that you pretty much had the same chances from trying to win the lotery when it's a 90 million grand prize.

 
Any song can be used to make a dope edit...its just gotta be put together properly.

I'm not a huge fan of the songs but i'm sure the seggy will turn out great regardless.
 
I disagree. A lot of ski movie companies try that and it doesn't work. For example, MSP whistler segment in seven sunny days. Worst song choice ever.
 
Thats an example of someone who didnt do it right.

I've seen lots of awesome edits with songs I never thought would work well with ski edits yet some people make em work. If your good at editing, you can make any song work.
 
for the first time ever PBP (or any company for that matter) give newschoolers the vote on songs for movies, and this is the reaction
 
^ obviously it was not an NS vote. NS submitted the songs, PBP picked what they thought would be cool. And yeah ive lost a lot of respect for PBP over the last couple of years mainly over their editing choices. I think Ive got a love/hate relationship for them just like MSP- I get stoked cause you know they have the best riders and the biggest budgets those unreal shots, but then you have to deal with the gay ass plot/theme they play out and too much rider commentary. Im sure some people are into that shit but I just want to watch good skiing while listening to good, hopefully not played out yet, music.

Yes, i want to shoot myself watching that segment. Such sick shots, such horrible music. Completely ruined it for me.
 
Yeah so maybe the music isnt as amazing as we all wanted, but I dont think its all that bad, and honestly with Walker, Henituk, and charles, I could give a fuck about the music thats going to be one god damn epic urban segment. Does anyone agree? or should I also say all the music is gay and i wont buy a pbp movie becuase 1 seggy may have a generic song
 
^ It'll be a dope flick/segment...I'm definitely still going to buy it. I'm still not thrilled with the choices, but it won't keep me from buying a movie with one of the best line-ups.

glad there are only about 20 different ski movies coming out this fall....one of em is gonna have a dank soundtrack..

I think all of those songs have already been used in segments, edits and trailers a bunch of times except for hip hop is dead, which is just a bad choice. Going to newschoolers for music choices doesn't really scream inspiration but there were some great songs suggested that could have worked out great. If these songs are any indication on how far PBP has drifted from what they think is interesting music, it doesn't spell well for Reasons. Next time, just go to www.hypem.com and pick the hottest/most blogged tracks if you have no idea what to choose.
 
whoa whoa whoa. wayyyy too much hate for this. PBP didnt use kids nor AZ for the rail segment. dont freak out. i am sure what they meant by making this thread was they used one song and then just said that all these songs kids submitted were dope too. I dont believe that the song they picked has ever been used before, and it is a really sick song.
 
^^i hope your right matt, but someone should make a thread for all the edits that used the songs they picked, i have a feeling itd be a pretty big thread
