Do newschoolers drink wine?

Does anyone make it?

who went the viticulture/ oenology route?

Is it weird to bring a bottle of semi nice wine to a party?

I love wine. I'm not a wino or a wine snob, but I do enjoy it. Been drinking a lot of cabernet blanc and pinot this summer.

I've enjoyed a few glassss myself. Granted it was usually something fruity or sprarkling white. I highly digs hard cider.

If you like it, bring it to parties. Fuck the haters

gnar hangovers await you if you choose to down wine in the masses. its nice, though. definitely popular among the middle-age crowd.

yeah you do.

and whether or not you bring wine to a party depends on the kind of party, obviously. I wouldn't recommend your bring it a trashy 100 proof, plastic-bottle vodka pregame, but there are definitely times it's appropriate.

we had a Catalina wine mixer at school last semester so most people brought wine but other than that I would say stay away from wine, plus the hangover sucks if you drink a lot.

I fucking loved wine in Italy

had verdiccihios which are like pretty dry, nonfruity, and nontasting, so i could pound that shit.

Also, made wine freshman year in our dorms out of yeast, empty 40 bottles, and grape juice/pomegranate juice/hawaiian punch/any surgary drink. Got pretty fun and horrible tasting. Great free drink to give to thaa bitchezzz

That sounds sketchy.. where did you get that recipe from? Why not make normal mix drinks or buy cheap beer? Yeast and sugar in a 40 made in a dorm room... randomness

I can't stand wine, nor do I make it. but my dad made his own beer once in a bucket in our bathtub, it was actually pretty good too

Haha kids did this in my dorm last year until someone ended up getting Botulism from that shit. The poor bastard almost died so I wouldn't recommend it.

Anybody ever play slap the bitch on a boxwine taken out of the box? First you slap the plastic bag full of wine, then you suckle on its teat of sweet nectar

You've clearly never slapped a bag or wielded a 4L jug of carlo rossi. Definitely not an every weekend kind of thing, but I've had some great times on cheap wine.

As for good wine, I never had any appreciation for good wine until I went wine tasting with my mother one summer. Once you're exposed to decent wines you start to see how much is actually out there, a causal glass of good red wine is nice once and while. Do I have bottles of red wine at my house? No, but one day I will.

The whole culture of the town I live in is wine. Classy mother fuckers come to Walla Walla just to drink our wine. But, I understand why... the wine here is really good.

Wine is ok I guess. Really depends on the party you go to. But if you like it, just go ahead and take it with you I guess...

I love wine. I bring a bottle of wine to parties at least a 1/4 of the time or a bag of wine if I plan on getting drunk for cheap.

we made wine last summer. got a 5 gallon water jug. put lots of strawberries, pineapple and bananas in it. A bit of yeast, 5 pounds of sugar. Let it sit for 21 days. AND VOILIA! super potent alcohol that gives you gut rot and a hangover from hell.

this is the video we fallowed haha

Ill slap te bag but I don't drink wine at all other than that. I just don't really like it. I think your fine bringing wine to a party, regardless of age though.

ill slap the bag tail-gating, ill slap the bag at a beach party, and nowadays ill even casually sip on some classy shit given the chance, but don't give me a calimocho, that shits gross.

I went wine tasting for the first time last summer when I was on the mend from surgery. Now I usually have between 50 to 100 bottles on hand at any given time. It's become a full blown obsession. It doesn't hurt living in the Willamette Valley with access to some world class Pinot Noir producers.

People that can't appreciate good wines are on the same level as the people who think the Afterbang is a good ski.

Slap the fucking bag bitch

yesssClassy or Derby parties require franzia

Our ski team has a tradition on every race weekend to bring one of the giant carlo rossi sangria's and it has to be finished by the beginning of the last race day

But, wine, I love wine. I used to only be able to drink white fruity wine (mostacos, white zin), but I'm broadening my palate (dry white wines and more reds).

And hell yes I bring it to parties, bring whatever you want to drink

All of last year I would bring a bottle of peach andre (flavored champagne) to almost every party I went to and the freshman started to wonder if I just had a stock pile of it at home, stuff tastes like juice

If you do bring wine to a party (college/high school party) don't worry about cups, just drink straight from the bottle.

I feel the same way. I live in wine country. Business men drink out wine, and fill the streets in the summer. It's a pain in the ass to deal with but it brings money. We use to own a good chunk of land but got into a feud with the neighboring farm over their plowmen digging our earth. Ended up just selling the land and moving into a house in town. I miss that life to an extent though, when your rooster crows at the break of dawn and you get up and start your day with the sun.

I just want to get out of there and move to a bigger city but leave my hometown and get travelin on but then I think twice and wonder if it'll be alright. Once in a while I'll drink a little bit and forget about today until tomorrow.

Idk man, best of luck from one wine country kid to another.

Word dude, I've always lived in the town and haven't been that involved with the wine. The wine business here boomed like 12 years ago. Shit's a struggle to drive downtown on a weekend, an unbelievable amount of wine-os. It's a good way to make some cash though, just put like a craigslist add up about driving people around to avoid the 5-0. I made 200 bucks a couple weeks ago with having to do basically nothing. They paid for my food, we drove their car, and they were super chill people. Check that shit out.

I've taken a 4 month course and could take level 1 pretty easy. My uni offered a series of courses and grew and produced its own wine. I like a dryer sauv blanc, claret, or port.

Bring to a party.... It can be a lot cheaper and mixing up some sangria in a large bottle totally turns it into a party drink.

I raced my friends to see who could finish a bottle first. I finished in 13 seconds. Followed by more drinks I don't remember anything past that

Hell yeah. However, I typically dont get hungover but when Wine is the drink, the next day is way shitty. But getting shitfaced off wine is damn fun to say the least.

we call it goonsacking, take it out of the box and carry the bag around. Blacked out after an hour and a half and had the nastiest hangover.

Sounds like everyone elses experiences are somewhat similar haha

Wine is what's up I love most whites and have only tasted one red I liked. Living in Italy and traveling around Europe allowed me to try all different sorts of wines my fav tho was definitely some Hungarian white wine I had in Budapest. Wine is great for pregaming I would get 1.5 liters for 2.5 euros and chug that shit before partys. At the party I was at last night down here in Cali there were some peeps that brought wine and no one seemed to give a fuck

Used to be a member of a wine club appropriately called: "Real wine is red and comes from France."

I quit because they weren't pretentious enough for me. I used to collect but put a halt to that because my apartment has insufficient storage space.

1998 Chateau Lafite Rothschild might be the best wine I've ever tasted, but I'm still young so there are plenty of untasted contenders left.
