Windows Vista OWNED

I don't need to look for reasons, Linux has always been more stable on my machines than Windows, which I myself enjoy for it's simplicity and compatibility with all the new software. But this is a nice repeat of the '98 blue screen episode.

They've been working on Longhorn long enough now though.

i totally i agree....if i buy a program i dont want there to be a thousand glitches...just liek if i bought a car i dont want 100000 recalls...yeah so i think it is goo dthat they are dleaying it

Personally I really don't see the need for another Windows OS right now, so if it takes another 2 years thats ok with me.

I agree though, people really do look for reasons to rip on Windows, its pretty good software if you take care of your computer.

Linux/Unix is the best OS by far.

Its true but until everyone else realizes it, windows will still be #1 and software companies will continue putting linux on the back burner.

i agree with you to an extent. however, people with little computer knowledge should be able to count on their computer to take care of itself....they should at least be able to have that much confidence in their operating systems. and i'm not talking about viruses, because theres nothing microsoft can really do to prevent them. i'm talking spyware and adware. i think that microsoft, the great software design company it is should be able to impliment certain anti-spyware/adware utilities into its operating system. we shouldnt have to rely on third party software. at least that is my experience....if anybody has any other ways of dealing with adware online that is available with windows, please let me know.

For the record, voice recognition software is pretty damn good these days. It's an integral part of my software. And we can pretty recognize any and all types of accents etc. Although we are mainly using the IVR for menu and command recognition via telephone and not writing fully structured document I can say that the industry has come a VERY long way.

P.S. Apple is gay.

Who cares what program you have. Both are billion dollar mega corporations either way. Here, these are my opinions.

Apple was about a worthless PC company until a few years back I feel. N one ever talked about apple, it was the windows shot. Windows 2000, then XP and all that. The I Macs are indeed fuckin pimp shit as are those little box ones the Emac or whatever. I havent used one since school, but they are nice.

Windows has been delivering quality computer operating programs since '95. You know what I mean, solid as fuck. All of mine have worked great. I've nver had a virus in the 6 years I've owned 3 computers. (got up to date as I bought) I started with windows 98, now I have XP. Shit freezes once in a while tho..

...but the real battle is with gates and his ex boyfriend who owns apple. They have some issues to work out.

umm there might very well be, I have no clue, but is there an apple program that lets you write out things like that with voice recognition?

man.....sorry to say....but most computers all do the same things, no matter what operating system.

i called the bell center thing the other day and it used a voice recognition thing, and it actually regognized my sentenses and stuff. it was cool.

macs ARE better for video editing and working with graphics/photos, thats about it. how come windows doesnt make commercials about how bad macs are?

I am sorry. I will never buy any operating system that has bouncing icons and uses one mouse button.

i was cruising around microsoft headquarters today (my aunt and uncle work there) and i got to see Windows Vista and it looked pretty sweet! i didnt get to mess around with it at all but the tops of the windows r transparent now.

apples are whack, you just pay more for a sleeker looking machine, and get locked into a horrible world of control clicking. Expose is nice though, I'll give em' that.

i've used and owned both machines and can tell you, being completely unbiased, I would take my mac over my pc any day of the week for anything besides gaming. Browsing the internet, doing word processing/powerpoint, obv. doing anything graphics related, etc. The Mac is just so much more stable, and I am much much happier with it then i've ever been with a p.c.
