Windows Service Pack Broke My Computer

last night i was trying to download something and it said i needed windows service pack 2 or something. i went to teh website and downloaded it and opened it up. it took like 2 hours to get like halfway so i put it in the lower corner of my screen. then i went on aim and foldershare and probably newschoolers. i was talking on aim to ad1080 about html and it froze. i restarted it about 10 minutes later and it didnt boot up. a blue screen came up talking about removing my harddrive and stuff. now i have to use this other notinmyroom computer which is used by everyone in my family. i hate you microsoft.

same thing happened with me dude..it happens to every 1 out of 10 computers,thats what the dell guy said anyway..there was a huge problem with it and if they havent fixed it yet they suck ass.

my mom plucks my ball hair at night when im sleeping and glues them to her eyesbrows cuz she had a terrible camping incident when she was younger and her eyebrows never grew back, shes been doing this since i was 13 im gonna have to start chargin that fat bitch for my hair

i figured my computer wouldnt break if i had a couple other things up. i just thought it may freeze and be able to boot it back up. im goin to find a new computer in like a couple days...

Yes yes yes, it's all your fault for fucking up and not running a super up to date anti virus, spyware remover(many of which install their own spyware...oops!), and fucking up the instructions.

yea, and most programs dont require you to actually shut everything down. they dont blow your computer the fuck up.

anyways, do you guys know of a good, cheap computer i can find at like bestbuy? im stayin away from getways (expensive and our last one broke) dells (my friends all broke and burned to the ground in a heap of ashes) and nameless ones. we have 2 emachines that are cheap and ok, or should i spring for a more expense hp?

It's not that microsoft sucks, it's that 90% of you people buy gateways and dells and stuff which are known to have problems because of their shitty ass software BS. Get a comp built for you or build it yourself, then, learn how to use the thing, read instructions, stop downloading porn dialers and your comp will work fine.

I've had mine for like 4 months now and haven't had any problems, running Windows XP Pro SP2.

the computer i just had i built myself. it lasted about 3 years and i had to replace hte hdd once. my software only includes like photoshop, mxflash, dreamweaver, aim, googletoolbar, and i think thats it. i have no porn on that computer, only on.....nevermind that. i guess its that i had too many programs on it, but still. that shouldnt blow it the hell up. im gonna buy a real computer (not a custom) because my parents will feel better about warrantees and shit. im only paying half anyways.

lighting farts- yea i know your brother, chris and dan brown. i saw i kid at school with a pollard shirt on and dan said it was chris's brother, you. i wanted that shirt but got the mikenick one instead.

i had a hard drive error message too but that wasnt for like 2 weeks after I installed it. I just put a boot disk in and it started up fine. My hard drive is too screwed up to defrag now too.

When I tried installing it on our other computer it couldn't finish the installation because it was missing a file or something.

messed up my comp too. i turned the firewall off and still couldnt get on the internet. and i have a gateway, and besides microsoft issues like i just mentioned, i have had no problems related to the computer itself. studio crashes sometimes, but its a real buggy program apparently

if you have windows rollback on, and you try to run virus scan software to get rid of a virus, often the rollback will keep the virus. that gets to be a huge pain if you dont know why it keeps coming back

ive had this problem 2 times. so i jsut rollback and dont get the new service pak. i accidently did it the 2nd time and just let it install to see. it didnt work and made some of my programs not work.
