I have had both, and personally, I think the Windows Phone 7 is much better but, alas, this is NS so......let the shitstorm begin!

but im quite impressed with windows phone. been looking at it since it was released and i think microsoft has been doing a great job with it.

personally, im an android guy though.

7 mobile was a whole new project wasn't it? I've heard good things about it.

until my iPhone 3g dies I'm not looking at other phones though so not really that up with the latest
 
windows phone 7 needs a few patches before it will compete. there is no multitasking and a few other key features lacking. one day though, it might surpass iOS
 
yeah, it's a whole new platform. i haven't heard anything really bad, but it hasn't been out long enough yet for me to form an opinion on it. we'll see where we are 6 months from now.
 
hahaha yeah I'm growing a beard to go with my ancient 3g.. but seriously that shits expensive over here! it was 850 when I bought it. I dunno about you but I don't have that kinda cash to drop on a new phone every year
 
its running android ;)

and unfortunately its never gonna come out, at least not for a while. someone at mozilla was bored and made the 3d model, they claim they dont plan on making it
 
I am an iPhone user/developer and despite how much I love my iPhone, I have been very impressed with the windows phone 7, especially coming from Microsoft. I think that the iPhone has something to learn from the way the WP7 displays information on the homescreen, how you don't actually need to open an app to digest basic information from it (live tiles). In a way the WP7 reminds me of the 1st generation iPhone due to the facts that it doesn't have multitasking or copy and paste.

I think the iphone is best right now but i really want other phones to overtake them. Android seems like a better OS but the hardware is usually not as good as iphones and iOS has more apps
 
I just got the htc evo a few days ago and honestly i like it more than the iphone. To be fair, I have never had an iphone, but i know at least fifteen people with the iphone 4 and i have a 32gb touch so i feel like i know enough about them and their workings to make the decision. evo has a better OS than iphone, much better web browser(flash and with the evo's faster processor, loads faster too), open source so most apps are free, and you can do a whole lot more with your phone than you can with an ihpone (the andriod market still has these approved apps like the itunes store, but you can get so called "black market" apps from just anywhere on the internet. IE: I have a gameboy color emulator with pokemon red and gold), it has 4g(I am aware iphone will get it next summer) which is litterally five times faster than 3g on a good day. with 1 bar 4g i can get 1200kb/sec download speeds... mind blowing. the evo also doubles as a wireless router (not sure if phone does this) but i can connect to 4g, then i can connect up to 8 devices to my evo with bluetooth and share my 4g internet, better camera, slightly better screen, and i also think the interface is more user-friendly(plus with open source you have huge capabilities to modify it), it has removable storage, and i can use it as a flash drive.
windows 7 phone looks legit, but im quite happy with my evo evo>windows7>iphone imo
 
^Chokolite - Since you have an Itouch you know what the Apple touch screens feel like. How is the Evo touch compared to the Itouch/Iphone? Is it annoying to touch like other touch screen phones? Or is it similar to the Itouch/Iphone?
 
they feel the same imo. I've got an iphone and an EVO and they feel pretty damn similar. everything else about the evo blows the iphone out of the water.
 
yeah like barefootin said, they're really similar. Personally I slightly favor the evo touch screen, but it doesn't have a screen protector yet and the itouch does, so it could just be that. either way, they both work very well and i have no problems/complaints about either. they're both multitouch too so when i mash the keyboard super fast it picks up on every entry, and i have no problem clicking even tiny buttons on the web browser on the evo
my dad got the samsung epic, which is supposed to be similar to the evo except with a keyboard, but I don't like it nearly as much. first off i hate phone keyboards, but a virtual keyboard is bearable because i have never seen a normal (analog?) keyboad that takes all my button presses, secondly i feel the screen/interface is inferior. the htc has andriod 2.2 with htc sense, which is more userfriendly/visually appealing than just andriod 2.2

 
get whichever phone you think will impress the most girls. then make sure to take it out of your pocket when you are sitting down on an elevated flat surface so everyone can see it and know how baller you are. okay cool guy?
 
one thing i will say about the evo is that the stock keyboard sucks if you're a really fast typer. it's not nearly responsive enough. if i type "the" really fast, i get "he". it will recognize the "t" and then changes it to "h" almost as if i was swiping from one key to another. i think this is a new issue with froyo. hopefully gingerbread fixes it.
regardless, this is easily resolved if you've rooted your phone as you can drop the droid x keyboard, or whatever you want on there, but kind of disappointing for out of the box performance.

 
haha I have an old school brickberry, I too wish I could afford an iphone :\
