STOWE FTW

dunno why it has to be stowe vs. windham. Both places hold legit events.

I gotta give my props to Kurt at stowe though, he was handed shitty trails this winter, he did his best with them. And then he made up for it by hosting prolly the most legit jam I have ever been to on the east coast.

Not only that, but he let us craft the lips and help him set the entire thing up. Not a single lip got rutted out the entire time of the jam with well over 150-200 kids sessioning it all day.

Not only that, but he was adding features as people requested them and working on shit the entire time making sure t stayed legit.

I take back anything I ever said about the parks at Stowe, and I am pretty sure next season Stowe WILL have one of the nicest parks on the East Coast hands down.

I hope windham was legit, will post footy from Stowe when we get it from everyone.

Props def go out to Kurt and Kim and everyone else involved, so epic.

thats very unlike him, after all of the requests we gave him all year.

i think the meeting that fst and the uvm st had with him helped, at least i hope

clearly the stowe... considering myself and enlighter had the great opportunity to basically design the course, DJ all day, free redbull and 10x the snow

He had shitty trails to work with man, the park trail on Spruce is a joke of a trail for a park, way to much of a slope to it.

And he did his best with the park on North.

Also unlike him or not, Adrian Charollete and I all helped him set shit up and he basically let us design the entire thing. Even moved shit around after it had already been placed so it would work out best for skiers and boarders.

Maybe your requests where just unrealistic. I know you guys tried to get him to build bigger jumps on North, which was not possible without loosing an entire section of jibs.

Doesn't matter, next season he will have better shit to work with and he def knows what he is doing.

But yeh here are some set up pics.

Hope to have footy and more pics tomorrow.

putting a park on spruce was a never a good idea, ad north was never designed to be a full park.

i doubt he wanted to put a park there either. and i agree he did a great job with what he had, but knowing they used to have some nice features, i (unrealistically) wanted to see an expansion of the park and just add a few more features, but given the layout and shitty situation, it wasnt possible.

i should correct myself. i was never that bummed with the park, although i wanted to see it changed a bit here and there. i was around a ton of people who said it sucked, but i was happy with it. i know they tried to make a legit park early in the year on spruce, but the rain washed it all out, and after that it was hard to build anything too big back up. but everything on northslope was always groomed nicely and in good condition, for the most park.

i know its gonna be better next year, so im psyched about that for sure

no your right it definitely sucked this year..... horrible for lapping, no flow, shitty features for the most part. but like you said, neither of those trails are good for setting up features

pre season on those 3 little jibs was more fun for me than the whole winter

what the fuck stowe. you have a shitty park (the SAME shitty park) all year then after the season ends you make a dope setup? windham was dope and I'm not complaining about that cause I got to ski in may, but it wasn't like that. fuck.

i was at windham, stowe does look like they had more room between fetures, more snow, and less ruts in the lips and landings, but stowe is 6 hours away, windham is 2, i dont think it woulda been worth the extra drive

my dumb ass school decided to take a community service trip to fuckin Milwaukee Wisconsin and didn't get home till yesterday and missed the stowe jam im sooo pissed it looked like such a good time

stowe was soooo bomber...from what ive seen of windham jam i think stowe was def. the better choice...looks like they made the best of it but Kurt was out there all day throwin down salt and shit nd by the time the jam ended we def. coulda kept at it cause nothin was wrong with any of the lips or landings....madddddd ffunnnn...also it didnt look like you could hit more than one rail at windham in a line cause of the steapness and setup and at stowe you could hit a burly 3 rail line on either side...FUCKIN KICKED ASS

i don't know why this has to be a competition of which one was better. i was at windham and i have seen some of the stuff from stowe, i mean obviously stowe had some pretty sick stuff setup but, saying one was the better choice is kinda of dumb because for a lot of us who attending windham, stowe was kinda out of the question, i mean i wasn't going to drive 6 hours for it. but what matters is that people had fun skiing at the end of may, and i sure did.

^yah true your right...i mean im like 40 minutes from stowe but like 4 hours from windham...no big decision therrrr...both looked legit

from what i heard today at mount snow, stowe seemed like a better setup then windham, but both were fun

looked like mt snow had about 10 feet of snow... but i couldn't of even gone if i wanted to cuz i feel like got gang raped no homo

when you sit around for a month and do nothing and just drink and then go to hike park all day without streching at all , it doesn't feel to good right now

was mt snow that sik...i was looking at the web cam nd it didnt look like they had that much up....kinda short flat rail..flat down box and butterish box...i mean it was prolly awwesome in person cause any skiing is awesome...but is there someone who went to stowe and mt snow who could compare the two

check out the pictures above those are pretty good, i just finished an edit for the line update at windham and you can check that on the line site when it goes up in a couple of days
