Windells vs. Momentum

I have the oppertunity to go to a camp next year and I knew about Windells and was really into it but then I found out about Momentum. Opinions on which is better?

ive never been to windells but i love momentum sooo much. such a sick camp. and you have the liberty to just hang out in the whistler village instead of being on a campus like at windells. i would say momentum but thats quite the biaised opinion

ye. me and kris were roommates and it is so sick. whistler has more snow, a lane to help you that helps you to progress, the village, etc. windells looks like its more of a summer camp, where at momentum it is just ski, then you are free to do whatever you want but they set up optional activities. plus if you come to momentum, you can party with me and kris in the girls room haha

yessss, momentum was the best, i went this year for session 3, had an unreal time with my roomates and everyone else on and off the hill. Whistler village is awesome, you're guaranteed an awesome time. The village at night is so sick. i wish i could go back :(.

id say momentum theres so much more things you can do rather than only park, and they have private t bar, u stay in a hotel and u can chill in the village

windells still lets you do whatever you want on campus (and believe me theres a million ways to have fun on campus) but they also have a bunch of random activities to keep everyone entertained, but they let you choose to partake in them; your free to roam the campus. albeit its a lot different than being in whistler village, but i wouldnt say its worse. the vibe at windells is just rad, like that fun feeling vibe in their edits represent camp pretty percectly

Yeah when you fill out the Windells form you can request friends to be in your group, I'm not sure about Momentum since I've never been there

Ya momentum for sure. If your 19 or have a fake, its even more fun. Just dont leave your shit layin around, especially if its new, it will go missing real quick.

even if you dont have a fake, there are tons of chill people with them or people who are 19 that will pick up for you

Anyone been to both? I went to windells last year but I'm not sure if I'm gonna go back there or to momentum next year. How's momentums park and lodging and stuff? Its gonna be a tough decision.

Windells Vs. COC Vs. Momentum
who has the better park?
which one is better for 18 yo +
which one helps the most with progression?
cost...

it depends on what you are looking for in a camp, and in my opinion, what age you are
i think windells is better for younger kids age 8-14 who want a really 'campy' atmosphere as you will be spending your time either on mountain or on campus where they have skate park, bike jumps, tramps and etc. you eat your food there, you sleep there, etc. its a really nice facility, but it's not like being in a whistler village where you have loads of options to choose from. i think it's an easier sell from the parents perspective because there is good supervision and its a really positive and encouraging atmosphere
at momentum (or coc for that matter), you are in the middle of whistler village and are given more liberties. i think its better for teenagers and adults who want to shred, but who also want to rock out at night and enjoy what whistler has to offer. you can go chill at the many lakes, go shred bike park in the evening, the skate park is sick, you can float rivers or whatever.

stare at all the beautiful women who inhabit that place, whistler village is a god damned gold mine.

being in whistler is mad fun but the terrain for park skiing is so much better at Hood. I've always thought Momentum's lane is too steep while Windells is just right

COC is best park. If you were 19 I'd suggest going to COC or Momentum because you'd be legal drinking age in Canada. Couldn't tell which is best for progression but I'd put my bets on best park helping progression the most. Cost you can figure out for yourself.

i went to windells sesh 1 and i was 17 the skiing is fuckin sick and the park is dope but the oncampus activities besides skating and the dryslope get old real fast if your like over 14

ya theres tons of free product but you have do some real gay shit to get it and then the outerwear will be size medium(idk if you saw that mudrace for sessions gear in the edit) also all the stuff you win is snowboard gear. theres little kids all over the place and the staff just kinda does whatever they want with them. there were mad times where i was like wow im way to old for this but the skiing is sick

it also slayed my back account and i went cheapest session

COC sucks just from looking at it from momentum you only ski 3 days and get to waterramp last day apparently which is so dumb... and the lift line up takes literally twenty minutes. momentum is sooo sick ski like six days so much ramping hotel mid city not stuck in windells fooking compound. everyone knows momentum is best windells and coc are just where all of the fags that love newschoolers.com go. momentum will make you sick skier

Hey dude, you seem to have some of your facts wrong. You ski 6 days with us in a full session, unless you choose to attend one of the half sessions offered in camps A and D. Some people can't afford a full week at camp, so we offer half session camps with 3 days on hill instead of 6, so it's half the price.

We water ramp a few times during each camp, but also have an O'neil airbag on snow everyday.

Momentum is a great camp, especially if you like moguls. However they have no half pipe in their park and only 3 of their 5 lanes are dedicated to park features, where as all of our 7 lanes are 100% park and we have a pipe in the middle of the park. So moguls/park at Momentum, or park/pipe with us. Either way you're stoked, but there are two significantly different on snow experiences.

Every camp will make you a sick skier, some just make you sicker than others ;)

FUCK CoC(k).

Your park might be the sickest but you have to hike all day if you want a to ski at all. Jumps are too big to hike and lines are too long to wait in. OH YAH, I had 200$+ of stuff stolen while I was there including a line ski bag that was a gift.

CoC(k) is notorious for getting shit stolen.

I have a rather simple question, what is the difference between the pro and day camp at windells. Is pro like just a lift ticket for the park or what

wow sam now i really hate you for asking such a question. Also, Momentum is where its at for next year, im going there so that means you should join me

i think im gonna do momentum sammy. ive been to windells so i wanna change things up. also momentum looks friggen sick

Sorry Joe but the website isn't very specific and me and Justin were gonna drive out but after reading this I think I want to go to momentum instead

you were gonna drive out? holy fuck i would never do that if i was paid haha. and yeah you should go to momentum, it's got pretty much everything windells does, plus water ramps, hotel rooms to stay in, and you can go where ever you want at night.

Good choice. Momentum is so sick and I sometimes think it is overlooked when people watch all the Windells videos. I was glad that momentum hired Drew Ledger to make sick videos and show people whats up.

yeah, plus im glad we dont have to stay in cabins, those beds are wicked uncomfortable and at night ive heard you can freely roam around town. that sounds sick.

ya. if you are under 19 you have a curfew at 11 though. its pretty easy to sneak out though. we got caught out of our rooms at like 2 in the morning a few times. they just tell you to go back to your room and make you dig in the morning. its not a big deal. we just got up like half an hour early and put some tents in, stepped some landings, dug a box or two out and then everyone was up. it was actually pretty fun.

oh shit those prices are steep. To go to windells it would cost over 800 dollars less. I dont even think I could make that much money this year

Actually, "Dude", if you wanna talk about having facts wrong...
Momentum has 5 lanes, ONE of which is the mogul lane on skiers right of showcase tbar, then 3 lanes of park on the skiers left of showcase, and also the old high north lane with the big stepover. That's 4 lanes of park, one moguls.
You should know this by now, especially since you've been corrected on it before, and also we would assume that you actually have been to the glacier?
The only time Momentum has two lanes of moguls is during their adult mogul camps, which are after the kids camps are finished.
Quit spreading false information, it's not like you don't know these facts, so why are you trying to mislead people?
