Windells Session Shortening

I just noticed that every Windells session this year is now 4 days of skiing, with 1 travel day on either side. Every other year I have been it was 6 days of skiing and then the two travel days.

They cut the prices a bit but it is almost making it not worth it including travel fairs for only 4 days of skiing.

Anyone know whats up with this?

Its 5 days of skiing my dude for example the NS session is the 19th - 25th the 19th is a travel day, 20 - 24 is skiing (thats 5 days if you cant count) and travel the 25th.

I talked to some people at windells about this, they cut a day from each session, made them cheaper and added another session. Seems like a good idea for the them. 6 days of skiing in a row is gnarly for any kid under the age of 15 I always hear about most campers just being way too tired after like 3 days, of course for some kids maybe like OP they'd ski 20 days in a row if they could, but you're in the minority when it comes to ski camps.

Making it cheaper definitely could be nice for some people who couldn't afford forking out over 2k for camp now its 1799 which yes is obviously still expensive but its like 500 cheaper which could make the difference for some kids but for some it also might not matter at all since their parents pay for it.

Either way, I think its legit, but I understand where you're coming from.

Every one of the staff will be packing stickers, so that's a great excuse.

One of the other reasons Windells changed their session lengths and dates this year is to add more time in the peak of the summer. The beginning of July is definitely the best time on Hood and with this new schedule they can fit more days on hill for more campers.

Whipple is a guest? Why don't you bring the real tahomies?

We shortened our sessions to 5 days on hill and dropped the price to maximize the amount of time on hill during the best time on hood!

Our dig crew has been working hard to set up a killer park for you guys this year. Take some laps with us this summer and ride all the new features!

2014:

$1799 for 5 days on snow is $359.80 / day on snow

2013:

$2069 for 6 days on snow is $344.83 / day on snow

Considering the fact that airfare is still the same (assuming), it's an even larger price difference for the consumer.

*Also, $270 cheaper

I know that you guys are making Windells a priority up there during that week but you guys should come down and meet some NS ski bums at the Timberline Park. Or possibly just have a overall NS meetup or something in the matter where for the people that can't afford for the camp and are also up at Hood can be involved. Also on the other hand its sucks having shortened days too especially when you get some nasty weather up at Hood where they have to close the lifts like for example yesterday.

You clearly don't understand how a business works.
