Windells or camp of champions?????

No worries Dude! I just noticed that I missed your reply, whoops!
Also for the low snow concerns that have been mentioned, the last time we had a snow pack like we do this year was in 2004/05 (actually it was way worse that year). That year we had heavy snowfalls in March, April and May. This past Feb was the second snowiest Feb in the last 7 years, so we're on track for heavy snowfall this spring, meaning we'll have all the snow we need come June. Don't forget, our park is located on a glacier, on top of a mountain and we get snowfall up top as late as June!! That leaves a lot of time to get lots more snow.
Check the snow records at Whistler Blackcomb to see what I'm talking about:

i have 3's down and i kinda have 5 but really sketchy if i was really comitted on learning new tricks does any one know what i might come out being able to do

thanks a lot man and do u have any idea what i would be able to come out doing i have 3's and a really sketchy 5 but i am really comitted to learning more

I am going to a camp this summer. I am going to ask for a session for my b-day and probably pay for a session myself. I was thinking about doing 2 weeks at one camp, but then i got to thinking i might as well do 2 different camps each year. From what i am hearing it sounds like windells is a little better. I dont like how the COC coaching sounds, but the web site is put together so much better than COC and COC tells me about everything i will be doing that week.

The prices are similar, so thats not the issue.

hey Dude, if you have three and sketchy 5's, we can get your 5's dialed and then start working on 7's and 9's. If you're committed and ready to step them up, we can get you stomping them.
The best part about our park is that we have 4 seperate jump lines with jumps ranging from beginner size (10 - 15ft), Intermediate size (15 - 30ft) , advanced (30 - 40ft) and pro (50ft+), so you can work your tricks up from the smaller jump lines to the bigger jumps lines. It's such a killer set up that really helps you progress your tricks.

thanks so much man i am really looking forward to going i cant wait. idk if it will be this summer or next becuase i dont have enough money yet but between working the rest of this year and the beginign of the summer i prob will have enough if not deff next summer thanks again for all the help

No worries! if cash is a little tight this summer, you can always check out our 5 day camps, but I understand if you want to wait and save for an 8 day camp next year!

My main question is what is the T-bar like. i heard it get's really crowded and lines are like half an hour and also what is the coaching like do you have a coach that sticks with you the whole time or do you ask a coach to help you?

Hi Will,
The T-bar can get busy at times, Mainly on the weekends but we're only on snow for one day over the weekend, Sunday. Half and hour wait times are very rare, the most I've waited for the t-bar while shredding in the 10 years I've been riding the glacier is 15 minutes. The wait can get up to half an hour at the end of the day when all the camps are leaving the glacier, because the Horstman t-bar, which is the t-bar we use, is the only way off the glacier. However at that time of the day, you're leaving the glacier as well, so a wait like that does not prevent you from skiing more, It just means it takes longer to get off the mtn.
Coaching, you have a set coach and coaching group that you ski with everyday. You have the option not to ski with your coach, but he wants to ski with you and his group and gives a meeting time at breakfast for you to meet him. It's not up to you to ask for coaching, we give you a coach because that is what you pay for. It's up to you to tell your coach what you want to learn. Our coaches can't read minds, so if you don't tell him, he can't teach you. Where it gets confused is that we don't force you to ski with your coach. You can also ski on your own, with other friends, or with other coaches, but your coach is ALWAYS going to set a meeting time with you every for breakfast every morning and it's up to you to show up.
I hope that helps give you a better idea of what our coaching structure is like. Let me know if you have any other questions! and hopefully we'll see you this summer!

Will u get shit if u go and ur not that good.? I no its to get better and have fun , but is there a min. skill required so not be a fool

No. When I went to Momentum there were a lot of kids who were beginners, but everyone was still having a blast. Just go and have fun, and you'll learn a lot.

It's true, ability level is never an issue. Everyone gets along and is at camp to have a good time. If everyone ripped, we wouldn't need coaches!

Hey I have a question I already registered and everything and so did my friends. Is there a way we can all be together in the same group we are all about the same skills. Also I'm going there with my mom is there place for her in the bus to whistler or does she have to get to whistler on her own? Thanks alot for answering everyone's question, it just gets me more and more stoked!

um not much i just wanted to know what camps everyone like and what i might be able to come out doing if i do go thanks again to everyone that helped

anyone want to tell me how this thing works if you're 18+? I'm gonna be 18 by the time I'd go and sites say Adult - 18+ so I'm just curious...

i think when your 18+ you have more freedome, for COC you have a later curfew ithink and with windells you get to stay in this special cabin place or somthing thats only for 18+.

For sure, send us an email to "info@campofchampions.com" and let us know who you would like to room with, and ride with. With riding together, the person with the highest ability would need to go in the group of the person with the lowest ability. That way you can ride together and no one is in a situation where they're sessioning features way too beyond their ability level.
We can add your mom to the bus pick up with you for sure. There is a small fee to do so, but give us a shout or an email and we'll hook it up for you!
Stoked you're stoked on camp!

Hey Dude,
if you are 18 or over, you have the option to select a non-coached option, what used to be called pro camp. Basically it backs the coaching aspect out of camp so you get the full camp experience, minus coaching.
You do have a later curfew, but you're still not legal drinking age, so the same no alcohol rules apply. We are really liberal with camper freedoms, everyone can chill in the village or do what they want until 10pm, when they must be back in the dorm. If you're 18, your dorm curfew is 11pm. If you're 19, no curfew.
We get a lot of 18 year olds and you'll have tons of peeps to chill and ski with. Hope that helps!
